Just gonna cause a backup when it's time to merge. Also, the quality of some of those shoulders look questionable

Same could be said about a lot of sections of the highway

What about the claxton bay jumbie?

Enforce current traffic laws...heavy vehicles must remain in the left lanes instead of checking engine oil in rd blocks

The current shoulders are too narrow to occupy highway traffic.

Adding more lanes to the highway is just kicking the can down the road and not dealing with the substantive need for a mass transit system.

eh heh? we oil does well spend to pretty up north thou. water taxi does hold approx 400 ppl, 5 sailings from sando 4 of which are sold out and coach does run as well plus straight buses from various locations from south. so what selfishness u ranting about dey? why we have to cum across d country to earn a dollar? but allyuh want everything up north so dont' complain now. find a proper solution.

most people say that once school is on holidays that the traffic is so much less, Start there, organize a Proper school transportation system with several drop off HUBS that parents can leave their kids to get shuttled to schools.
I know many parents will NOT want to do that but if its mandatory for that school then they will conform.
This will be especially helpful in areas where schools are in neighbourhoods where parents dropping off their kids only adds to the traffic congestion.

Most traffic head into POS on the mornings. One of the solutions should be getting into POS faster. Remove some traffic lights and close a couple of exits onto Wrightson road. Of course you'll have to reroute traffic where possible.

The traffic wardens at the light house are a big big help on mornings. Any time they're not there that turning right lane stretches way back.

I've always wondered about ppl who live so far from their place of work.
In the states, there were ppl living in Frederick County coming to work in the District of Columbia-Madness
Is it really that serious?
Can't you just move-are jobs that scarce in your region-is it a prestige thing?

2+hours of traffic one way-daily- could NEVER be worth it.

The majority (from what I understand) are government workers, enticed by the "eatta food" wukk.

Some of them accept the job fully well knowing it is located in POS, then send letters (later on) demanding they be employed closer to their homes. They include sad stories of how many children they have and how bad traffic is. One even took pictures of her galvanized house and her 6 children.

Another lady who was employed as a Cleaner insisted that the ministry send a vehicle to pick her up in rousillac each day if they want her to come to work on time.

My answer is resign and go back home, simple.

Who will patronize ptsc, taxis, maxis, transport vehicles? The amount of fuel sold will be significantly less when you take into consideration the amount people who drive spend.
Then business's that sell parts for vehicles, repair them etc.
Look how much mouths bread get put into there.

We have a large workforce too, who don't want the job, give someone else it.
Let them know they replaceable and you will see how fast they start to work

Flex hours...

7-3, 8-4. 9-5...

Employers not liable to pay flex allowance as employees/commuters would have already benefited significantly from decreased traffic times...
Flex hours will also allow for continuity as the average person who works 7-3, can still go elsewhere and conduct buiz, that works the 8-4 or 9-5...

Flex people still come late and leave by 2-2:30

Wish they outright ban flexihours.
