had the same problem bought the entire seal kit for the rack and barry from garage 61 rebuilt my entire rack for me

when the power steering starts to leak it sprays the fluid directly onto the fire wall and exhaust causing it to catch fire

Seconded...they (all subarus) are known for power steering pump & racks leaks.....the fluid sprays directly onto the exhaust with the rack leak or the high pressure hose leak....i guess owners are aware of this by now...be safe & inspect the thing often.........
