Anytime u see trouble in the air log on to liveATC an listen for if there is panic in the voices of the Piarco controllers

but you also have to take into to consideration, we don't have a high volume of air traffic as compared to other major airports, so normally managing the flights should be the least stressful, when something goes wrong it's probably a 1 in a 500 chance.... so the poor fellas really don't have the experience to keep calm in crazy situations.....

guys who familiar with flying our skies, large open air space with few aircraft's, with the terrain warning, collision warning, is it really that easy to still end up in a compromising situation with just seconds to react?

you'd be surprised to know how many emergencies and weird situations that piarco controllers deal with on a daily basis. they are also trained to be calm in these situation and to A.S.S.I.S.T the flight crew, not make their job more stressful.

I actually saw an Antonov in Piarco recently so you could be right

either saturday or sunday night, there was a four turbo jet engine plane flying really low, around 8pm or 9pm. it was just very low, probably within just a few hundred feet
