It could be a number of things wrong with your unit ABA Trading. Could be gas, compressor, restriction in the line, blower motor, etc. The guy who installed it for you probably did not know what he was doing or one of those 'fly by night' installers who don't use a vacuum pump when installing a unit. Alot of installers don't use the vacuum pump when installing units and they just purge the system. 18000btu is more than sufficient to cool the are you have. Supakool is the distributor for Pioneer. You can call them direct and talk to them.

Gree is a better brand than the Comfee and Pioneer. They are of a higher quality than the Pioneer/Comfee units.

manager in company that supplies units says that I need a 24,000 BTU and he doesn't know why the installer would install a 18,000 BTU unit there and that that's between me and in the installer and if i need to upgrade I would have to pay installation cost again.

the thing is, in my mind, the unit isn't working at all because even 7 feet away from the unit, the place is hot enough to make u sweat.

installer had also told me it could take up to a hour for the unit to actually start making the place cool :|

i've called consumer affairs, i hadda go in to see them.

That part about the hour is nonsense, the first time we powered up the ac units home they cooled the room to 20 degrees in about 10mins, if so much. If hot air blowing from the unit something wrong, your mode set to cool and not fan? The room properly insulated?

I remember in 07 my sis installed 5 peak ac's,in 2010 i went to peaks to get a part for the fan,guy in peak told me them parts out dated,i asked him how come,he began to tell me the model was phased out before 07,turns out the installer bought out the outdated ones and was installing like crazy to get it out of his hands.Anyway i got the part by one of peaks agents comfort cooling in south, works good except it fcuking noisy like hell, but it cools well.

And I thought LG a/c supposed to be one of the better brands. Looking to get a unit installed before the end of the month.

Update

the manager is the owner's brother, whenever i spoke to him he was a hostile muffler bearing, saying that we have to put a 24,000 btu there and that issue is between the installer and I

got hold of the owner himself who is a lot more pleasant and he said he'll send over one of their technicians along with the guy who installed my unit and sort it out this week.

so waiting to see the outcome

point to note

the owner said he was never told of the incident before i got onto him friday and he doesn't know why the installer didn't come to him directly.

his manager had told me that i need a 24,000 btu and he don't know why the installer put a 18,000 there.
