Customs - is it really corrupt?

gosh.....I have had my fair share of experiences......just last week.....I was there since 8 in the morn and had my stuff released to me at around 5pm.....no food for the whole day......and had to beg like a dog.....all because they had a problem valuing my items.....

when exactly are the authorities going to put a PROPER customs system in place?
How can it be lawful to charge duties based a webpage that a customs offical pulls up off the internet, rather than a LEGAL proper suppliers Invoice?

Why does importing certain items that require licenses take so long, and most of the times even though you have the documents and required license your item is held indefinitely at the port so that you always end up paying double for the item?

Is our system really this corrupt? are customs officers really this dishonest?

sometimes i use a broker, and sometimes when i have personal effects i go myself.
But i know many people who go through similar nightmares daily, and MAINLY because we refuse to give a BRIBE or grease a hand.

its all a conspiracy, making it hard for you to go through customs and in turn pushing everyone to buy through Raptor :stalk:

If they going through it daily they should use a broker to get away from the headache.. it's what 2-3%?
