The Chief Justice did say at the opening of the law term that divorce rates were way too high.

Now we know one reason why.

Is there really a good reason for divorce?

So you have a child with a married man with big children. One thing to ask is, is he really thinking about divorcing the wife or is he just telling you he looking to get divorce and 'blah blah blah' so you want to know if he serious or giving you a chain up.

1. Punctuation - use it.
2. Doesn't matter whether or not they held assets jointly. His wife is legally entitled to 50% of whatever assets he has, be it house, land etc. once they are getting divorced.
3. His 3 children are over 21. They may not be happy cuz they wondering how pappy hook up wid dis youg ting and dem saltin.
4. His wife is gonna try to kill/maim you and cuss u up real hard if she sees you in public.
5. Your daughter gonna have an old man father.
6. How swanky are u really?
7. Again must reiterate the use of punctuation.

Call an Attorney, people want free advice and do things how they want and come to us expecting to work miracles after they realise they do nonsense.

1. Once separation is confirmed for the 7yrs away from his wife, he does not require consent from said wife to apply for divorce.
2. He must go through an Attorney to submit papers to the Court.
3. If he cannot afford an attorney he is entitled to Legal Aid where they will assess him accordingly to see if he can benefit from their services. His income has to be less than a certain figure which will be identified in the assessment stage.
4. Divorce settlements do not always end up as a 50/50 rule, it requires proper dialogue/communication between attorneys to arrive at a final settlement figure.
5. Be very truthfull in asset declaration because when a man says he has nothing or they have no assets then something is wrong.
6. This point is for you: Be careful. Too much financial red flags are evident here. Chances are, this man cannot support himself worse yet if the wife want to jam him with maintenance even though the kids all big and grown up and may have jobs of their own (subject to court scrutiny as she has to be reasonable but depending on her attorney's submission she can still screw him).

His name is probably on a bad debtors list already, he cannot get any loan and being such a mature man in terms of age, one expects some level of financial wisdom to be applied over the years. He probably has to file for bankruptcy protection and avoid putting his name on your car or house if judgements are passed against him otherwise sheit street just became your place of permanent residence.

Good luck.
