Jamaicans esp. the UWI Mona type believe soca is dry humping music. They, in and of themselves, already dry hump occasionally with some dancehall songs, but when trinis might hear "wine, wine, wine" Jamaicans hear "sex, sex, sex." Even promiscuous trini girls shy away from Jamaicans attempt of dancing to soca music.

Fuh real .. Jamaicans and to some extent Bajans does dance the same fcuk up way to soca.

Carnival in Jamaica is still too uptown. Its only UWI and Kingstonians who come T&T for our Carnival trying to promote it over there. As Jamaicans are not originally much of winers (i.e. woman wining on man) and the advent of the recent daggering culture, Soca for them is an outlet combining daggering and wining.

It suits the individual who doesnt really appreciate our soca culture and/or just cant wine.
