Yep.
They are rare because only a limited amount was made and there was a shipment that was stolen . After they were stolen it was scraped by central bank. Central bank made ppl return the notes to local bands after that they became obsolete and non legal currency.

There exists a stolen shipment that is buried somewhere in south. I don't think it was ever found. It will be worth a mint . Although I have suspicions that some was shipped abroad as lately perfect Uncirculated notes are appearing one by one with consecutive serial numbers matching.

There are two versions that was printed.
A 1977 note and an error note with a date of 1963 on it. The 1963 note is worth more, only a few where printed.

Hey I got the silver issued $5, & $10 TT coins. They are around one ounce of silver each. I even have the 1 cent to 50 cents in silver aswell. These were a special issue and only 1500 sets were minted.

Three notes can sell for as little as $300 to as much $3000
It all depends on condition, series and demand

Good history here , any ways the stolen dollars $50, ended up in belmont at a card man house who used to lend port men money , he up till his death in 2002 had about 35 of the old $ 50. Dollar bills , the came in bands of 40 bands whith consecutive numbers ,
He has the blue $2.00 bill and mostly all other bills shown here and pehaps more , , I saw them with my own eyes ,
What was amazing is his old colonial money collection ,
A , half of cent called a fathing, or some thiing like that and some real gold pieces
Does any one know trinidad had issued gold pieces as comercial coins at one time as well

En No.

there was never a blue $2 bill as it was red.

Stolen $50 bills is still buried somewhere in Rio Claro forrest. Some was recovered and some burnt.

If you guys want the specimen edition 1977 $50 note, I have.
It normally sells at $800US for one.
