While we don't know the actual circumstances, it's most likely that plenty speed was involved (insert a cap. obvious comment?).

That said, 'tis good that no other innocents were involved/hurt in the fracas.

from what i heard from a lady who was driving right behind him, "it is alleged" that he was taking the turn off by beaulieu ave(turn off before trincity lights) and ran straight into the grass and root out the electric post

soooo...nobody bothered to comment on how often vehicles skate off the road by that turn-off (which is on a 100 degree bend on the highway and always have sand and gravel just before you have to turn) and the fact that, that sign had to be replaced several times in the last decade until somebody finally thought to put it on the other side?

I not gonna speculate if speed played a factor, but that turn is a dread turn

I loved that car. And yes that bend is very serious. This Hook forgot to mention the amount of water that ends up there when rain falls. Hope he's ok.
