these vibram from the reviews i read still give you a ground feel but maintain flexibility rather than in a shoes which the foot is confined and uncomfortable at some points. its basically the next best ting after barefoot, however the increased ground feel may need to some time to break in, oh and its called skeletoes. when i was on the hike on sunday saw a few of the guys wearing these, they say it more comfortable to wear but needed some breaking into. but fila has a kinda upgraded version

they give you less of the ground feel but are a tad bit stiffer and tend to lose a bit of flexibility. i tinking bout getting a pair also.
