K.Dot is really bringing some serious interest back into hip hop, especially of late
with his "CONTROL" verse, any of y'all listened to the responses ?
Alota rappers catching feelings, this is getting interesting.
Listened to the Papoose response today....thought it was garbage, allot of debate on it
all day. Whats y'all take on all of this?

lol at responses (clearly not in thier league..lolol) Its a simple issue...Its not about Dissing/slinging mud..its about Kendrick Lamar saying he's gonna be the King of NY and he's west coast.....if you know Hiphop you know that how that type of talk comes off.... .is like dropping a RB26with Naws in a 2JZ camp....and sayn that all JZ's is crap......

...Personally I find that Kendrick (and the rest of em) cant rap for sheit...but in some weird way, he's bringing Hiphop back to Hiphop...

Heres a street version of what KL is doing on a commercial level: Which i enjoy more....cuz its on-spot....no studio sheit....

other rap/hiphop heads are free to chime in/disagree as you see fit.

As far as mainstream rappers go, I definitely prefer Kendrick over a lot of what passes for music in rap/hip hop today. While some won't like his style or his flow, I will say that with him and a few others there seems to be some gravitation back towards lyricism. It's going to take quite some time but hopefully the 2 Chainz & Future's of the industry could fall off the nearest cliff and disappear for good.

The verse definitely wasn't his best and only garnered attention because of the name drops and the king of NY line (most felt that Jay Electronica's verse was superior). Now if you aren't from NY and your name wasn't mentioned, then you just look foolish for catching feelings and responding. If you are from NY, then what you need to do is figure out why someone who isn't from there would have the gall to make such a statement regardless of intention. As Maino said (yes he is irrelevant but I felt he had a decent point), if NY had their sheit together and their own distinct sound with solid representation, there would be no way anyone (be it Kendrick or otherwise) would dare step to NY with that king talk.
