tstt wimax 2mb: $150/mth

wimax is the best. its so ridiculously fast. downloaded a bluray quality torrent movie last night in like 1/2 hr. with regular internet, it took 1 week
something not adding up there

2Mb/s cannot download a bluray quality movie in 1/2 hour
either you meant 12 hours or the file was 700mb which is DVD quality, not bluray.
or your WiMax is closer to 20Mb/s - not sure how Blink has it set up but then you'd be sitting directly under the tower!

A bluray rip is between 8GB to 25GB.
A compressed to heck 1080p movie with limited sound might be about 4GB (these are usually touted as BD rips) but they cannot compare to pure BD quality.

with a 25Mb/sec connection and using a paid newsgroup and download app that allows multiple streams you can get download speed of 3000KB/s which is ~25Mb/s and so a 4GB file might take ~1/2 hour to download. Torrents are CONSIDERABLY slower than this.

can you do a speedtest at www.speedtest.net and post the results here?

Might have to check out that 'on the go' biz tomorrow,no flow internet by me (yes in p.o.s,not de bush). Not in the mood or have the time to deal with blink & their long wait for installation either. All sides have people saying service sweet or service shiddy, guess is take a chance with what availabe & see time.

Exactly, you have to go with what works best for you - you might get bad lines, or poor reception from one service and excellent transfer and uptime from another while someone else in another location is the total opposite - there are many factors to consider, so try what you can and choose the one that is best for you.
