its alot of work to convert the steel containers...............and still make sure they dont crumple under the stacked weight as they age and good luck keeping those steel boxes cool in our climate. One black out an every man jack outside sleeping in the parking lot.

The guy had checked me out for some ready to use prefab containers and it would have only taken 1 month to assemble all.

but I guess at the last minute he figured he think he can do it better himself.

what i am concerned is the price of rent of these containers.....$3000 kinda really steep for simple living.

spent about a month in one of these on a ship -

pretty comfortable, definitely needs a/c and more than one entrance/exit

its very small though and can feel so after a few months i'd imagine.

Um, offshore acomodations are made of containers and are quite comfortable and spacious. I don't see a problem with this, but the room has to be properly airconditioned. A toilet/bath will fit there without any problems. The only problem I see is if the person had no approval for building of the structure, and no plans, but since when that has stopped a trini?

I will buy a car and traverse the road San Fernando to St. Augustine before I rent an apartment for that price.

I mean nothing wrong with renting an apartment near to UWI but at those prices I could invest it into a vehicle and that will become an asset, Instead of spending that money and have nothing at the end of the term!!!!

Allyuh talking out allyuh asses..
This is how it goes in Curepe/St. Augustine area for Rental Properties.
Rooms - no a/c, furnished, toilet and bath in room, shared kitchen starts at $1600
Studio - A/c, Furnished, cable starts at $2500
(studio apts don't come any less because they come with full ammenities)
1 Bdrm Apt - No a/c, unfurnished, no cable starts at $2000
1 Bdrm Apt - a/c, semi-furnisehed, cable starts at $2500
(there are some landlords whole will want to charge an arm and leg because they have tiled floors or they have a piper that does "stand guard in the night", but it generally starts at $2500)
2 Bdrm Apt - no a/c, unfurnished, no cable starts at $2500
2 Bdrm Apt - a/c, furnished, cable, internet and security go sell yuh kidney..

These do get higher depending on how close to UWI they are.
