take it from a baxxide (me) who went and did draughting and civil, switch now, you will make plenty more money with PPO, construction industry for technicians is ah waste of time with contractors hiring and paying you small money. don't end up like me with no wife, no chirren, no property and no land and no future= deadbeat. The educational choices you make now will determine your level of prosperity for the rest of your life.Get out of Civil now!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

and that goes for all out there who doing Certificate/Diploma in construction courses, if you can, do PPO or electrical or mechanical. Don't say I didn't tell alyour.

By chance anybody knows much it costs (without gate) to do the Process Operations programme at UTT? Cost per course or per term/semester?

imo better u go UTT and do it... did level 2 and 3 at ITT and seems everybody wants the UTT qualifications... i got excellent grades in both levels and yet my certificates in an envelope at home doing nothing. another thing too ITT gives a lot of problems... couple of my classmates never got their certificates and its been over 4 yrs now since we did the course...

hey allyuh ah looking at trinizuela and i seeing process technology but i want ppo. ppo is plant process operator- but what is the difference between plant process operator and process technology. also those who did meeet do allyuh get jobs faster than ppl who do eeet?
i doing eeet now- studying whether to do ppo and electronic motor control then return to eeet dip then do wireman's license.
tell meh what allyuh think is best.

i believe the PPO @ trinzuela is now Process Technology from city and guilds, just a name change
the certificates will now show Petroleum Operations which most gas companies do not want.

there rather Process Plant operations ( same sheit )
i did process tech lvl 2 & 3 @ ATC full certificates and cant get in while another friend did 2yrs PPO @ UTT and got pulled in really fast in ipsl

my advice is stay local(utt), gain experience and hope to get into a big international company

Whether we like it or not City and Guilds London Qualification has more weight over these local exams.
If you looking for short term, go with the local institute here................
If you looking for long term and international opportunities in the future.................well yuh know nah!
