On behalf of the MOWT Licensing Office Division I would like to apologise to all whom may have been affected by the Division's attempt to upgrade their process methodologies so as to increase performance and productivity for all citizens and residents of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Ladies and Gentlemen soon in the very comfort of your own home would you be able to conduct such a transaction as it is part of our Vision 2020 momentum. Please bear with us as we continue to develop www.gov.tt and adapt to international tried and tested best practices.

Ok, so went back to Wrightson Rd today, people lined up as usual, same as yesterday, line not moving at all. So I decide to try St. James again.

Park car and walk to stairs, gate closed and sign outside says they can't process cash transactions. So I thought ok, they could LINX.

So I walk inside, about 2 people in there waiting. Anyway I reach the window and present my renewal form. The guy says no cash transactions today. So I say I could use LINX, he says "We don't use LINX here, you'll have to go to Wrightson Rd."

So I back in the office......

Trinidad Guardian wrote:Scores of people, including pensioners, expressed disgust with officials at the Licensing Office, St James, after they waited for more than six hours to get their drivers' permits yesterday. According to Bernadette Laughlin-Scott, one of the customers, they waited for hours at the facility before they received their renewed permit. She said yesterday was the third time she came to the office to renew her permit. Scott was speaking with the T&T Guardian outside the office. The 63-year-old woman said on Monday she left the facility after being told there was no cashier available. She said yesterday she arrived around 9.15 am and left shortly after 2 pm. After I paid my money, I waited and waited and waited. Then, a lady came out and said, "sorry, we have to go for lunch now, so come back in an hour"
