You need to reinstall the OS. Home Premium is more than enough for everyone to use, Ultimate is a thief head.

Lol exactly... both McAfee and Norton are resource hogs and bothersome as hell. Why on earth do i have to give every single program permission to access the internet individually?? And aside from that they tent to give trouble after a while... especially if you have two installed at the same time.

AVG is a free... lightwieght anti virus program. No firewall... anti spam etc, because you don't need that - Vista has it built in.


So yeah reinstall Windows... remove any anti virus trial software... install a decent, light wieght antivirus like AVG Free or NOD32.

They offer a full protection suite like norton and mcafee, but you can get the AntiVirus by itself for free. That's pretty much all you need.

Why can't you download your music? There is almost nothing XP can do that vista can't... and quite a lot the other way round.

Also the difference between premium and ultimate isn't much... unless you want to join a domain or something.

It will be easier to solve the music problem than to reinstall windows completely. Can you give some more details?

i agree.....its just u haven't learned to turn off vista's annoying habits as yet.....spend some time on the net researching.....search for vista tweaks on google and see what u come up with
