Based on compensation seems like UTT paying better than some of the energy companies.
http://news.bn.gs/article.php?story=20080503140627156

Professor - $32,000 to $45,000 (plus 20% Housing + $10,000 Travel Allowance)
Associate Professors - $25,000 to $40,000 (plus 20% Housing)
Assistant Professors - $22,000 to $34,000 (plus 20% Housing)
Senior instructors - $18,000 to $26,000
Instructors - $15,000 to $18,000

Contractors would make more $$$ when GTL up and running because of the amount of maintenance works that would have to be done

Ressurecting a foreign used plant eh no ez biznezz

Yeah..de salary tops there..just the occasional change in wind direction coupled with flare upsets is forked up

Personally I find it ridiculous that academic's are making money than professionals especially in the energy sector.

Funny enough UTT is not represented by any unions and they are among the best paid in this country.

Looking like UTT is turning out to be the CEPEP for tertiary education. i.e. "make work" jobs for the few educated supporters of the government.
