blood

Postby Hammy Bolo » October 3rd, 2006, 2:17 pm

I'm a donor, males can donates 3 times for the year, and females twice, you can also organise if you and co-workers want- with the support of your employers to contact the blood bank- they will come to you via the mobile unit. My blood donations have saved at least 4 lives- persons unknown to me. So ppl do not wait til its too late- donate. If you donate blood and you or your relatives need blood and its a rare bllod type you will have priority in getting this supply you need- free.

this link gives you vital info on blood donations- get rid of your fears- face the facts and educate yourself and others

Congrats on this link- very good idea MG MAN big up

Yup all true...I learn tuh take a blood sample today..so check in me a few weeks..i'll be doin donors by then!! So far every1 i take blood from say it actually din hurt..and sounded surprised..so..get over ur fears..cuz i need the practice. .it really doesnt hurt much at all..ants bite kinda thing..then its all just free flow from there..and a free juice/milk..and you suffering very minor pain could save a life..a mother, father, daughter or son..ur little chance of being a hero.. so suck it up and...am..let the blood flow..i guess...think about the difference u can make..

sorry for bumpin this but i have a few questions..

how long is the wait to give blood at the POS hospital? Average time so I'll know how much time off to take from work.

Can people with tattoes give blood? I read online that after 6 months it is okay for them to do so? But on another site I saw 12 months....anyone can confirm this?

last time I went, the entire procedure, from sign in to walk out took one hour
best to call the blood bank if you have questions regarding tattoos etc

I feel people afraid of the questions they ask you to.
I've donated blood but not on a regular basis due to health and medication I was on.

But the needle insertation is no big deal. I sure some of you get slap harder and it pain more than tht needle. :D
