let him rent a property, pay the taxes, pay the VAT, pay the business levy, like an honorable citizen.
he should not peddle his wares on the public property for personal gain, without paying his dues to the government. they need piece of that pie.

on a serious, every body trying to make a dollar... things are hard in the lower strata.

Both parties Could afford to give kickbacks but yet embarrassing the country internationally... imagine foreigners coming to pick back up the Galicia.. The sister Isle daily runnings are heavily affected by this lack of planning.

UNC real screwing up here ... They clearly in shambles.

This property tax is the perfect opportunity to cause a riot and get people marching on the streets ....

Instead Cunnilal wishing he was party leader ... Kamla trying to bring back in she boys that no body like (anil, anand, glen, chadresh) and who knows what Vasant doing???

That seems typical of the UNC and their die hard supporters, they stay quiet and then beyotch amongst themselves. On the flip side you have the PNM and their supporters who take a shotgun approach and just beyotch about everything and see what sticks.

I am going to look at this from a positive standpoint ... I am no PNM supporter btw.

Increasing hardships will FORCE people to be more innovative and more inventive. Is when things are good that we become soft and weak ... life becomes to easy ... People become complacent and we stand still.

Life in Trinidadd has been too easy for too long ... We used to and still do pay little to nothing for water, electricity and gas prices have historically been very low. The cost of living here is actually not bad, even food can be had for cheap if you don't go buying all that imported fancy sheit.

The PNM may actually be onto something and this could be their greatest achievement ... By increasing the cost of living and making things harder for the average citizenry it means we need to work harder, be more inventive take more risks and dream more.
All we need now is for oil to drop to $20 or lower and the Junkie society we live in would go cold turkey and we would be on our way to rehab.

Compare like with like nah .... not that hair-brain analogy you use there ....

Germany and South Korea were completely destroyed and what happened in those countries???
Singapore was in the same economic position as us 40 years ago and where is Singapore now?
Oil is a curse bro! Believe it!

Lets organize a Tuner prayer session for sub $20 oil prices and less than $1.50 natural gas. 8-)
