Charged with sexually assaulting 3 girls
A 38-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault against three female minors, aged six, ten and 12.
The suspect was expected to appear before a Sangre Grande magistrate yesterday, after he was charged by WPC Charles and PC Joseph.
Police were investigating an incident which allegedly took place on April 12, when the victims were taken on a family outing as the man is known to their mother.
While at a river, the victims told police that the man allegedly sexually assaulted the six-year-old in the presence of the ten-year-old, and then masturbated in their presence.
A report was subsequently made to the Eastern Division Child Protection Unit (CPU) and a joint investigation by Charles and Joseph was commenced.
During their investigations, the officers found that a 12-year-old female relative of the two girls had been having sex with the suspect against her will since March.
The suspect, upon learning that the CPU was in pursuit of him, fled and had been in hiding since.
He was arrested on Friday and was charged with three counts of sexual penetration of a child, one count of sexual touching of a child, and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

UPDATE: FAMILY MEMBER GIVES ACCOUNT ON HORRIFIC ATTACK ON RAPE VICTIM: "MY COUSIN RAN FOR HER LIFE!”
A relative told Alert T&T that the victim was offered a ride from her work place to home, as the suspect would frequent the business place.
The victim then agreed, whilst in the vehicle, the man told the victim that he urgently needed to get home to 'collect something.' The relative said, "She knowing him and seeing him around her work, aint think nothing about it...it was only when he drove into an area where there were some bushes in Maracas ... the attack happened."
The relative said that the suspect ran after the victim to stab her, she jumped into a precipice which she sustained cuts and bruises.
The relative continued by stating that prior to leaving the premises with the suspect, the victim, sent a photo of the suspect and his vehicle registration number to her sister.
The relative said that while they do not want to divulge too much information on the incident, however, the victim, was in fact raped and had to run for her life out of the bushes where he carried her.
The relative said that, the victim is currently traumatized, and cannot sleep at night because she keeps seeing him running her down.
The Western Division Task Force, was provided with the information by the victim and her family and they searched the area.
The suspect, who suffered a broken foot, was arrested and taken for treatment.
Thus, far there are reports of five other victims coming forward with similar allegations against the suspect.
Investigations are ongoing.
