Depends how tight the requirements are
At the end of the day a good pliers can cut chain link anyways.

dont most people just auger and cast just the posts?
Concrete along the base of chainlink fencing is a practice peculiar to Trinidad. Chainlink fencing is designed to be easily repaired. Concrete trenching makes that impossible.

Chain link should have a tension wire at the lowest edge of the fence that the bottom of the fence fabric is secured to with small loops of wire or hog rings.

Image

If you want to make the base more secure, an additional horizontal rail can be added.

Image

Chain link should also be installed under tension with a mechanical puller. If a puller wasn't used, the fabric sags defeating the design of the fencing.

If it is done like that picture then dogs digging a hole an passing under that normal lol. I guess most people use a concrete trench so nothing can pass below it. What wold be the average life span of chainlink wire?

Not all dogs dig under fencing. Not all fencing is installed to contain dogs, either. Fencing is also installed across existing concrete or tarmac surfaces.

If you are concerned about dogs tunneling under, you can install a trench using concrete or wire. You can also drive rods into the ground.

Expect quality galvanized chainlink to last 20 years or more.

The horizontal pipes are important too or the verticals will lean from the pulling and require diagonal supports esp at corners.

i eh lying to tell you i spend $1600 labour plus $600 for auger to put down posts for 200 feet of fence and run razor wire ontop
2 days work

34 galvanize posts
2 rolls of chain link
and two galvanize pipe cross bars, top and middle

i used line rail clamps instead of welding though

Image

so everything move much much faster.

In general, corner posts typically:
- are of larger diameter,
- buried deeper
- have a larger concrete footing
- bracing

There are also considerations to be made regarding long stretches of fencing where the terrain is not flat or the fence changes direction.

If you're fencing a single lot, it shouldn't be much of an issue.

Were you able to find the rail clamps locally or did you decide to ship them down?

better to use the clamps as most welders make a mess of welding tube sections together

When a galvanized rail is installed at the center of the post it is called a boulevard rail.

You can use the same clamp for tents and canopies.

Hear this na.
Like 8 of my end posts already cast. 4 on each end. If I cast the other middle posts early in the morning between 8 and 9....feel I could safely pull chain link around 2 or 3 pm?

24 to 48 hours before applying tension. I would typically wait three days before pulling wire. YMMV.

You might need to have someone measure your space and give you a quote based on what roof and ceiling you currently have. The lights might cost more than the new ceiling.

got some quotes

$5000-6000 labour and material for the ceiling

does not include, painting, or crown moulding installation

its a new construction so theres currently no ceiling, new electrical being run as well

Most ultra modern designs don't use crown molding
If they do it would be a very flat design.
Do a google image search for "modern crown molding"
Unfortunately most crown molding suppliers locally only bring the curly ornate designs which don't work well with ultra modern interior design. Many Trinis like that ornate design though, claiming "it does look rich".

I didn't do any crown molding at all. The installer looked at me like I was mad
Nothing ornate, nothing intricate etc

this is the common patterns of mouldings you see all over locally

i guess none of these would fit in to what you say is modern moulding?

If you decide to use crown molding, you can use a baffle above the molding with the lighting behind the baffle.

You move your indirect lighting to the periphery of the ceiling and eliminate the recess.

It's often done to add modern lighting to traditional decor.

Try Maraj Wholesale in the ETECK business park in Caroni. They have a wide variety at good prices.

The also have quite a few of the simpler designs as well as the garishly ornate ones that "does look rich".
