^ The PM's 11 is not a first side class. Its invitational and they bought in Ponting for a farewell in the capital as well as its Canberra's 100th anniversary and the 1st ever D/N match between international teams. Previous PM XIs have had retired players as well.

The ODI on Friday would be the 1st D/N ODI as well the first time Australia ever played an international match at Canberra.

So WI lose their warm up match...Valiant attempt by Russel in the end (54 runs in 24 balls) but it just was not good enough, WI need to come better than this for Friday

What they really need to do is concentrate more on playing cricket and less on bumping their gums with all the 'score to settle' talk etc.

As usual Aus will win the first 4 games and WI will win the last one that doesn't count....and they'll take that as a positive for the upcoming series and continue the cycle of winning the useless games as they've done for the last decade or thereabouts.

imo it's gonna be close.whitewash is out of the question.but it could end up being 3-2 as one of you said in favour of OZ.but I'm open to upsets by the windies though.

Buh whatchu tlkin bout...WI drew the ODI series with the Aussies 2-2 last yr, albeit they had home advantage...they actually almost won the series, there were some really close games.

So was perusing the 2013 IPL player auction list and saw Ricardo Powell name there with a reserve price of US$50,000. How'd he even get in there?AFAIK he is not active in competitive cricket.
