This is what Andrea Rampersad said in a Facebook post:

Dear Daddy/ Telak/ Michael,

COVID-19 snatched you away from us so suddenly. You spent 9 days, sedated, on a ventilator in the ICU at the Couva hospital. You were a healthy, strong, 59 year old man with no comorbidities or health complications who took all the necessary precautions to prevent yourself and your family from contracting this virus.

You made a conscious decision to get fully vaccinated with 2 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine, yet you became seriously ill and critical within 24 hours as the virus viciously attacked your lungs. You gave up your fight with this COVID-19 battle at 7:28AM on Friday 12th November, 2021 leaving your family, friends and co-workers in total disbelief and shock. The virus consumed your body rapidly resulting in multi-organ failure. Even though we prayed for your safe return from the hospital, prayers wasn’t enough to help you fight this deadly virus.

Dad, what was the purpose of you taking this vaccine if it could not prevent you from becoming critically ill and required hospitalization? Health officials are continuously preaching that vaccination is the key to overcoming this virus, yet it took you away from us even though you were fully vaccinated.

Dad, you were my most favourite person and biggest supporter. Your wife and I together with your mom and siblings love you and will miss you dearly. May you rest in eternal peace and keep watching over us.

Unfortunately, many families are facing this ordeal and trauma of losing their loved ones due to COVID-19. Only he who feels it, knows it.

sounds like a 3rd primary dose could have benefitted him. yeah he was 59 but that is just barely outside the 60 and over range.

Vaxxed or unvaxxed when it's your time it's your time, he took the vaccine to protect himself and his family yet he still died with no comorbidities to boot

His daughter doesn’t watch the news ? Is it he is one of how many that died yesterday ? Unfortunate but it is expected to happen . Probably would have had more deaths if it wasn’t for the vaccine

in the mall they are not congregating and taking off masks to eat and drink. in bars that is precisely what everyone doing- bars, restaurants (dining), cinemas, basically anywhere ppl eat and drink- until they come up with a magical way of being masked while doing that then its essentially a maskless gathering- therefore the increased risk is mitigated by vaccination. of all present.

outside is lower risk even with some ppl not wearing them which they are supposed to be doing. however inside should probably be limited to vaccinated alone except essential places like grocery and drug store.

also no paranging/santa claus/other xmas events should take place inside malls this xmas. leave it outside maybe in a tent with lots of ventilation.

In that case shouldn't everyone be going for their 3rd shot as everything will be opening up shortly to save lives or we waiting for Jan /Feb to have everyone else take it

correct. for full benefit u take 3 primary doses if u are 60 and over. it is not for boosting waning immunity, the immunity wasn't as good to begin with in that age group.

whereas with a booster for any vaccine , u get the initial 2 primary doses and are considered fully vaxxed for around say 6 months, then u have to get the booster to maintain that status- its not like u have to wait a further 6 months to be protected.
