VexXx Dogg, let me know how the isobolic affects your recovery.
I am always ready for my workouts with it, and recover better (soreness, fatigue) compared to any other supplement I've tried.

"Beetroot for the brain and dementia

Drinking beetroot juice increases blood flow to the brain in older people, which may be able to fight the progression of dementia, a 2010 study suggested.

Beetroot contains high concentrations of nitrates, which are converted into nitrites by bacteria in the mouth. Nitrites help open blood vessels in the body, increasing blood flow and oxygen to places lacking in oxygen.

Previous studies have shown that nitrites widen blood vessels, but US researchers writing in Nitric Oxide: Biology and Chemistry, the peer-reviewed journal of the Nitric Oxide Society, say theirs was the first to find that nitrites also increase blood flow to the brain."

Just had some beetroot & soursop punch. Never knew it was so good for you.
Gonna boil some tomorrow and eat before I go to the gym in the evening.

Can you provide a link to the beetroot info???

My father is Demented and we as a family doing a lot of searching for causes and preventative tools

What we have found is that lifestyle and food intake plays a MASSIVE part in preventing Dementia,Charles Bonnet Syndrome Alz and Parkinsons.

Coconut oil thus far is the best preventative medicine-
Intake of processed sugars, fats etc all create over a life time a predisposition towards these diseases.
I take 2000 mg a day.

I have started making our own juices for my 4 year old -to cut his sugar intake, cook with Coconut oil and are evolving to a regimented lifestyle -conscious of what we are doing to him by putting easy to prepare foods into his mouth.
Finally started the exercise part last week.

yup. Its all about enjoying the journey and making it part of your life style. I tired see people lose weight by doing extreme diets, shutting themselves out from society and doing crazy hours of cardio. They had a really messed up journey to reach their goal quickly and when they do then decide to fall back into a comfortzone and sog all the way back up even getting bigger.

This is a start. as Dj said google has alot of info -you just have to look.

More than anything Ive read, the Clinical Psychologist-who was in charge of prescribing the medicines for Dad stated categorically that he takes 2 ounces of coconut oil a day.I cannot drink the oil straight so I take tablets- Puritans pride and amazon.
We have started cooking with it as well

His research has convinced him that it is VERY beneficial to your health.

In terms of sugar- there is information that indicates direct links between the amount of sugar intake and cancer, also linking problems in brain development with high sugar intake.

I have stopped my son from drinking soft drinks at home-home made sugar free juice and water and have greatly reduced the snacks etc.

Look at the picture and think about the amount of packaged/canned 'drinks' we consume and see the sugar content in the pic. For reference the coke can has 39 grams of Sugar.
18 Grams in the Capri Sun packs-that he would guzzle down

Just limiting the CHUBBY s is a great first step for the kids.

I know someone whose Dad had his Alzheimer's improved significantly after taking a tablespoon of coconut oil twice daily.
He was not able to remember his grand children's names before and could within weeks.

It actually was their Alzheimer's nurse who recommended it as she had seen the effects firsthand.

Fellas. Can I keep my strength and lose fat?
I got too much belly fat. Planning to go on a diet.
Tried something today. Had protein for breakfast and a chicken salad for lunch. Before gym I had a scoop of protein, did some high volume legs did my normal weights and after had 2 scoops of protein.

You think I could keep at this for a month? And keep my gains?

Looking to drop 15lbs

I find the hardest thing is to lose fat and keep muscle mass.
You can still be strong, but lose a bit of muscle.
I cut weight a lot and can keep my strength, but I my muscles don't look as full.

When I began, my lbm was 170+lbs, today, my lbm is 154/5lbs.
However, when I started I was weighing 245lbs compared to under 185 today.
