What repercussions will I face if charged, 1000 dollar ticket that I still can't pay because the courts aren't accepting such payments as yet, they created the law but it is like a toothless bulldog, there is no system in place to make these payments. Side note are secondary school children exempt from this law because I saw some in town yesterday not wearing their masks , they were in their hands so how would police treat with that?
Basically, who dead dead nice approach....where the ppl who said if this spreads to too many persons a mutation could occur or we only worried about delta right now and not concerned with anything else. Why all the beat up . A simple search shows that there are no new universal measures to fight the pandemic unavailable in this country . The only thing the government can do differently is curfew and restrictions and the population is tired of that so let’s just rally through . The curfew benefit was crime . So who wants to drink and crash come December will fight up for icu beds with COVID patients . Luckily the turnover of beds from deaths seem high enough that a bed will always soon be available . It’s a no win situation and that’s why it’s a pandemic . Whenever it burns out itself it will burn out itself . Health care workers need to calm their tits . No one can say they lazy as much any more and if they just work fair they should pace themselves and the system will rally out . The population doesn’t really care any more and the rest of the world is moving on. The only real restriction is the beaches
Key Findings
Beta/B.1.351 is markedly more resistant to vaccine and convalescent sera than original wild type.
The emergence of the P1 variant saw continued transmission despite a 66% attack rate in June 2020, rising to 76% in October 2020.
Delta is more transmissible, has partial sera escape, and reduces vaccine efficacy.
Viral evolution can result in increased disease severity.
SARS-CoV-2 particles and antigen may persist in the human gut up to 4 months.
Immunocompromised patients can facilitate rapid evolution and shed for longer than 70 days.
SARS-CoV-2 reinfections have been more mild and more severe.
Even following vaccination, reinfections can be more severe.
Symptomatic reinfections have potential for onward transmission.
SARS-CoV-2 causes immune dysregulation and functional exhaustion of lymphocytes.
SARS-CoV-2 contains a superantigen that can manifest in MIS-C.
SARS-CoV-2 suppresses adaptive and innate immunity using a variety of mechanisms.
SARS-CoV-2 manifests in lymphopenia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia.
Spike protein causes hematopoietic functional deficits in vitro.
Cytotoxic T cells remain activated in the convalescent.
SARS-CoV-2 causes autoimmunity.
SARS-CoV-2 has exhibited potential for T cell epitope escape.
SARS-CoV-2 infection causes lasting symptoms.
SARS-CoV-2 infection causes strokes, pulmonary embolism, and cardiac injury.
SARS-CoV-2 is neuroinvasive.
The above findings highlight that with COVID-19 we are not dealing solely with an acute infection with short-term clinical risks. There is the potential for significant long-term health implications and while there remains much to be understood, the precautionary principle would advocate for taking approaches that minimize this potential risk. To this end public health policy should focus on significantly reducing community transmission alongside vaccine roll-out. Focusing on hospitalizations and deaths as the only outcomes is short-sighted. Relying on post-vaccine infection as an immune ‘booster’ may carry serious risk as such infections can result in increased disease severity [32].
It is essential to reduce long-term risks from this novel virus until we understand them better, as well as reduce the risk of new variants emerging by suppressing transmission. There is now extensive evidence that transmission can be reduced through widespread use of face masks [78,79,80,81], better ventilation [82] and air filtration [83]. Contact tracing and isolation are established and effective methods of reducing transmission. Governments should implement these mitigation measures in order to protect long-term public health and the effectiveness of vaccines.
That not important.Christmas sales need to happen so that the 1% can make their profits. That and Rowley's daughter can come home without the makeout scene like last time.pugboy wrote:tobago elections in the airwtf wrote:In all seriousness though I don't like the numbers I'm seeing and it seems the government wouldn't intervene anymore due to possible revolt by the population.

The Delta variant is more transmissible than the Gamma which is dominant. Although it would some become dominant. There has been surges in most countries which had Delta even with a vax rate of 60%. Ours is about 45-50% so it is inevitable.
Also reopening of schools and public services back out from Monday gone. We probably haven't even seen the effect of the latter yet. The PM need to do a serious roll back this Saturday otherwise we could be looking at 800-1000 cases PER DAY. And with a death rate that already seem to be around 3% that's 20-30 deaths per day.
