There must be something serious going on for the Egyptian leadership to have that kind of public policy reversal.

Israeli hostages were being held right in the middle of 1.2 million Palestinians that have squeezed into Rafah.

This is just a more agressive continuation of what Israel has been subjecting the Palestinians to since the 1940's. it is obvious that Priority 1 is to cause as much destruction to Gaza as they can accomplish with as much civillian casualities as possible in order to create mass emigration. Priority No. 2 is to kill Hamas operatives. If they save some hostages along the way, then that is a plus.

Israel does not realise what they have created with the tens of thousands of orphans they have made in the most barbaric way.
You think they are just going to say "well meh family gone, what yuh go do .... leh meh just move on yes...". No. Israel has just sown the seeds for a continual cycle of violence and destruction.

Hamas may have done some really horrible things on October 7th. There is no excuse for that. However, there is a reason why it happened. People don't just wake up and decide to do those things. These things happen due to the seeds of opression and violence Israel has been sowing since the 1940's. Israel has no one to blame but themselves.

Isrealies are killing out the Palestinians... Their stated aim is to recover hostages and route hamas.


Israelis are killing more hostages than extracting.
Hamas has resumed some administration of north and central gaza. So routing hamas is not possible.

So, according their own stated objectives, they are not winning.
But, if by winning they mean destroying the Palestinian civilization and extermination of the bloodlines, then yes, Israel is winning.
