^^Intra-regionally yes, extra-regionally I'm not so sure. But I don't see why not.

In any case, if they're looking at a bidding system similar to what's employed in the other leagues, a lot would depend on how much money the sponsors are willing to fork out. If they're only willing to pay small money, I doubt that any of the quality foreign players would throw their hat into the ring. I'm even wondering whether any of the local stars like Narine, Pollard and Bravo would be willing to risk injury for small money as well.

We'll see how this pans out.

Well we were treated to a B'dos T&T match last nite which was characterised by poor batting by the bajans, poor fielding by the trinis,Tino cussing and spitting at everybody and everything and Fidel throwing 'cut-eye' and last but not least umpires who kept falling asleep.
Hope the espn telecast to rest of the world wasn't the best, otherwise international viewers must have been rolling with laughter.
I wonder how Bravo would handle that run out (even if legal) when playing with bajan counter-parts for West Indies. He already may have to make-up with Sarwan.

Smith aint gonna be back on the windies team.....so no need to worry there...but overall poor sportsmanship by the bajans overall...

guess they live up to name....

already predicting a Jamaica vs T&T for the finals , wonder how the entry of Chris Gayle would upset this mix.

He has to regain his form at some point...plus he hit the fastest half century in the BBL jus 10 days ago...I'm not sayin i want him to score runs against T&T tho :)

Team T&T needs a really stern test and come out on top to convince me of their readiness for Champion League competition.
We must remember that if they go thru 2-3 senior members may not be available as well as having to compete in qualifier rounds.
The debutant opener Lewis acquitted himself very well and may very well be a good find.

LOL...Gayle is a smartman...let all he countrymen do the hard wuk then when they almost make it, he fall in easy easy like a ripe mango...

But seriously, I hear everyone pontificating on the impact he may or may not have. It's clear from last night's match that he's got it.

Guyana would do well not to underestimate him.

It was an inspiring performance by the Guyanese. After that Jamaican total, I like many others didn't think they had a chance. But they went in brave and focused from the start of their innings and got the job done...amazing. Looking forward to a great game tonight.

BTW can anyone shed some light on this mystery injury that Andre McCarthy picked up...the same injury that allowed Gayle a place in Jamaica's squad? The articles I've read say the claim was supported by a doctor's report, but none mention the nature of the affliction. Interesting...
