Are you using the HBO MAX app on the AppleTV? Or are you using the MAX app?
Only the MAX app is working, not the HBO MAX app.
I watched a movie on the MAX app on my appleTV last night with no issues - i had the HBO MAX app on the appleTV before.

In using the TV app last night for the first time haviong used the mobile app earlier in the day I felt like they created thier interface from a combination of Prime Video and Disney+ own. IMO Netflix still remains the king of user interfaces for streaming.

One addition to Max I like is the ability to remove shows from continuing watching with just one press on the home button.

One thing that changed that I don't like is that the bar that showed up under movies that you already watched is gone now. Made it easy to see shows you already saw maybe from a few years back.

Also seems more content is in 4k than in HBOMax

I've been trying to connect my Digicel+ account to Max.com for the past month with no luck. I keep getting an error.
Anyone tried this recently and succeeded?

Use the Digicel app on your phone and link your Digicel+ account number to the Digicel ID on the app.

Then log into Max and use the Digicel ID to link to HBO.

Yup did that. Disney+ is working. Max isn't.
I've been through the process with Digicel help desk multiple times with no luck.
They keep saying they will escalate it. May 27th, June 2nd and then again today.
I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue.

I had a MAX 1yr subscription before but it expired in May so I said I'd try signing up with my Digicel+ ID as it's included in my fibre package.

Been having the same issue a couple months ago. I think there are issues with Amazon and roku devices. Samsung TV's shows not avaliable in this region. HBO has been a mess since the new release moving to MAX. I just gave up until i have time to get back into it.

That's a different issue.
HBO was available in the Caribbean but when they switched to MAX it was no longer available in the Caribbean until the end of Feb 2024, so you would get that "Not available in the region". It works now.
The Max app works with Samsung TV, Firestick and Roku for me. My issue isn't getting the app to work, my issue is linking my Digicel+ account instead of paying the subscription directly to HBO.

Log into your old Max account and see if there's an option to log out of all other devices. And try changing your password to >10 characters. Max has a requirement that passwords must be more than 10 chars, maybe Digicel+ is trying to link and doesn't have that requirement.

Password is over 10 chars and I changed the password multiple times while trying to get it to work.
Most times it gives the error before you even get to log into the Digicel account.
As soon as you choose Digicel+ as the provider it gives the error. No Digicel login screen. If I choose Flow or another provider I get their login screen.

You subscribed to Max directly or to Digicel+ with hopes of using that to access Max?

Digicel says they're having issues with the HBO / Digicel setup and are working on a resolution. Now it's a waiting game

Same issue with me. Recently signed up for their Digi+ package with Max and Disney+ included, got through with Disney+ but getting the same error with Max.

The digi representative told me that Max is not activated on my account as yet and how he will put through the request to the technical department and this should take about 3 days to be done.

It's been a week now and still can't access it

Anyone can confirm if the other providers have this issue, flow, amplia or direct TV?
I can login just fine and use MAX with a normal account. Non-provider

I don't think the issue is with Max. it works in T&T. I had a subscription.
Seems the issue is with linking Digicel+ as a service provider to access Max.

Ok so strange update - I just called Digicel to find out if there was any update.
The support ticket was escalated in June. The response to the ticket is that Max is not available to Fibre only customers, only customers who have a TV plan that includes HBO channel.
So that solves that for my case.
