Totally awesome movie!!! Didn't really see any plot holes. The design of Krypton was very detailed and gave a very immersive feel. Russell Crowe gave a very convincing performance, you really felt the urgency of the planet's doom.

Henry Cavill was a really good superman hairstyle notwithstanding. Lois was a good fit but sometimes felt clueless. Action scenes were perfect and seemed straight out of the cartoons and comics.

This was the best comic movie thus far. Hats off to Zack Snyder.

^ One of them to think about, for critiquing sake is, on the 18,000 year old vessel, how was Kal El's suit there? No sensible or logical explanation for that.

I thought they would have delved into the suit itself a bit more but it wasnt so :(

saw it last night, imo its movie of the year! perfectly executed, loved how the writers added new stuff to the story line and character while maintaining the important old stuff. I can go on and on but i dont want to spoil it for those that didnt see it but trust me, you are in for a treat.

Wow.....you are literally the 1st person on the entire internet (seriously) who did not like Shannon's portrayal of Zod.

You must be kidding me. Shannon is an INCREDIBLE actor. Besides the fact that I have a man crush on Henry  ....Shannon was my favourite character in the movie. He is brilliant and I was really sad that he had to die because I would have loved seeing him more in the future. Your taste in movies probably real so-so to not at least appreciate good acting and a real sense of what it means to embody your role heart and "soul".

Another thing that wasnt addressed properly in the film was the disposal of Zod's body. I'm hoping for some sort of resurrection, but I know it will never happen

great movie.....made me remember watching the original as a kid...superman always had a larger than life presence, and this movie relived that felling .., it also had those emotional moments in clarks backstory where theres a deep moral lesson ... kevin costner did an excellent job as clarks father and it made you realize how important his character was....super could have easily succumbed to zods logic and wipe out the earth but he didnt ..... and russel crowe as the super dad is genius ...they should give him some of the ticket money cause he sold it.......

**small not so bad spoiler ..

i love how they didnt feature Kryptonite at all.. Or lex for that matter...except the lexocorp truck and building in the ending scene...,this means part 2 should be epic when lex holds super only weakness and decides to take over the world ... cant wait.

Going to see it on saturday Imax.

Supermans larger than life presence will always be experienced, moreso in this movie where the support of A Class actors further exemplifies his greatness....

Yea this was kinda strange. I guess the fact that Jor El’s consciousness was there means he is at least 18,000 years old?? Even if that’s the case, how did it know about stuff that happened on Krypton 33 years ago?

imo Micheal shannon played that role perfectly, Louis lane left much to be desired and should be dumped from the sequel. I think your problem is that you classing zod with the likes of joker and bane. Zod is not a prominent villian in superman comics as bane and joke. Bane broke batmans back and ended him and jokers mental fcukery was unsurpassed, so much that he is a constant villain and not just a one time show. Zod is no way near to the level of Lex and say guys like Darkseid and Doomsday who were waaaay more than just a thorn on supermans side. Hence the reason Zod is dead, his character has no reason to resurrect in later episodes as he is one dimensional. Lex on the other hand, when he discovered superman weakness kryptonite, that would change everything.

16 cycles i not bashing you eh, i just telling you where I think you might of gotten the wrong concept and that is you classing Zod to joker. In this first MoS, all the emphasis on character etc HAS to be placed on superman, that is what everyone is evaluating with a fine teeth comb and critiquing, this is the first remake of superman, he needs to come out complete or else everything else will flop regardless of what villain they use. As for batman, there were other batman movies before and this one they were introducing joker, a prominent character/villain for batman, most of the emphasis was placed on joker, as Christian Bale already had the audience approval of being batman and he had that character locked down.

if its one thing I would say, its verrry hard for a villain to make the audience see things his way and to actually make you see why Zod would have that mindset of what he is doing is right. Micheal Shannon pulled that off, he gave me the feeling that he put his people first and superman abandoned his civilization and everyone that died was for the greater good.

but to each his own.
