its crazy, i read that people lost teeth and developed ulcers in their mouth from gatorade specifically. If i recall however, this was due to consuming the beverage daily and sometimes multiple time on a daily basis.

if you think like this then your life will be boring. Eventually everything could kill you one way or another. Its all about enjoying it all in moderation.

Freezing fruits before juicing allows you to retain the vitamins and minerals within them.

^^ jus read that, honestly didnt know, but you need a serious juicer to handle frozen fruits, not no jokey crap from courts

Yes. I previously mentioned I use it to juice my kale, celery, broccoli and other greens.

The best juicer out there is Vitamix. There is also Blendtec.

Have any of you done research on alkaline/ionized water v.s. regular water (BlueWater, Voss, tap water?). I've read that an alkaline environment is not suitable for cancer to grow. The more acidic our body (FYI, cancer feeds off sugar) the more unhealthy our bodies.

Here is a list of Alkalizing Foods:

WRT to the alkaline foods...
i've searched this last yr some time and there are both sides of the story
the main one being that our stomach naturally produces acid so even the vast amt of alkaline foods or water we eat, during digestion its being assaulted with acid so by the time it reaches the intestines its not really an alkaline food any more...

i'd like to hear more thoughts on the matter though...

Well for the first time in 7 years Im heading back to the gym and trying to get back into the gym/exercise thing.
TODAY
This thread is a big help.

I have a question-Im interested in getting a meal replacement for dinner. I would like to drink a shake before dinner so as to eat less, better, earlier. The shake will fill me up with better quality than what ever the wife cooks.

Whats a decent choice for that use?

If I dont post in 24 hrs I ded in the gym-dont bother about the shake.

Great thread

Try this shake:
1 Scoop of designer whey chocolate protein - 100 cals
1 banana - 90 cals
250ml 1% milk - 110cals
1 table spoon of peanut butter -70 cals.
370cals.
Throw in a couple blocks of ice and blend it all up.

report back and tell me if its filling. Btw, after consuming dont go to bed, let it work through your system about an hour before you go to sleep. ITs a good meal replacement when trying to lose weight and a good SUPPLEMENT when trying to build muscle.
