Any recommendations for air condition dealers in South/Central?

Has anyone here had personal experience with those Samsung inverter units? Do they live up to their advertised efficiency and 10 year warranty?

I have a Lennox 18,000 for 2 years in my room and no issues. It's really quiet too, compared to the comfort stars that are in the other parts of the house.

Have this rubbish Frigidaire 12K BTU from price smart bought 4 years ago, circuit board blew first day they sent a technician to replace it, he used a busted one from an old AC, lasted only 2 years till the capacitor in the inside fan started going now it spins so slow the lines frost up and it cannot cool.

The onlyway to use it is to open the doors and leave the AC on with a fan blowing on me to mix the air. I hoping to burn out the compressor this way by forcing it to run like this then I will have a good excuse to dump it.

Also so tired of the alien symbiote living in the coils, no matter how much I spray it with the hose, use a vacuum to suck it out the son of a beyotch still keeps growing back and spreading. And its so difficult and annoying to move out my entire desktop PC and everything to get a hose and ladder to climb up and hose this thing down every month only for the alien sumbiote to grow back yet again and cover the coils. I am certain its alive no questions about this.

My solution soon as I destroy this rubbish, buying a Lasko Wind Tunnel I think its $600 in Bhagwansingh its a 20" and should do the job for me, should also save myself a nice $2500 a year in current thats money back in my pocket

^ funny thing I got a 1 in English for CXC.

But I would never ever recommend anyone to buy from Pricesmart the latin american 3rd world dump portal for goods that cannot past simple quality control tests to land on US soil. And so bad it also comes with Alien life form, maybe they manufacture this thing in chernobyl who knows.

Every AC technician I hire, comes home by me and leaves 100 times more retarded than he originally was. With retarded looks on their faces unable to determine the alien life form in the AC. Just like the other countless idiot automobile electricians and mechanics in Trinidad who became instantly retarded when I told them my EG8 Civic cannot start in the Sun. As if a car that cannot start in the sun is some kind of strange out of the world problem that nobody ever heard off.

Finding reputable mechanics / technicians is really tough! You wouldn't believe how many times I have been let down by services from 'reputable' companies..

I have a York 18,000btu installed in my bedroom for approx 3 years now and it runs daily.. I clean the filters monthly and have it serviced when I notice the blower fins or evaporator coils looking dusty..

Never replaced any parts on it and never had any failures either. Was always happy with that purchase!

Decided to get a free.
Will let you all know what I think once its installed.

Not sure about these 10 year compressor but 2 years electronic and 1 year labor warranties.
I've never had a compressor die on cheaper units unless they were pretty old... But the rest of the unit like coils/capacitors never later that long

I'm actually replacing a cold wave that can't work for 2 months without breaking now. Coils seems cheaply made and are only leaking out refrigerant.

Get a regulator thingy for the wall socket too. Voltage seems to be an issue for a lot of people.
Costs less than buying a new ac unit and undergoing stress with quacks calling themselves servicemen.

Yeah I found someone on facebook who seems to be reputable in fixing AC. Now a few people wanted to charge me $1100 to fix this fan speed in the AC. I told them piss off cause I can get a brand new AC for $2300 installed.

Found a guy who seems to be doing this work a long time he told me the issue is simple its the capacitor for the fan motor. He said its $350 total to fix that, I explained to him the issue, basically no matter how high you turn on the fan speed what happens is it builds up fast and then slows down then builds up fast again. But never reaches the proper fast speed. I turn it off for now and will contact him this week. Have a lot of scammers out there aswell, look the price difference $1100 to $350

And here I assume Panasonic was super grand, and way better than all these cheapo sticker brand AC

Seems I was wrong eh? cause I was thinking maybe I should have bought a Panasonic since the inside motor in my Frigidaire AC is spinning to slow. I was expecting Panasonic to last 10 yers

my inside frigidaire motor last about 5 years aswell. But the motor is good its the capacitor thats bad, PS I use mine almost 24/7

OK cool
Small extra price compared to price of the unit
Trying one of the gree artful models.... If it isn't a significant difference in electric bill .... I'll use a traditional unit when my next cold wave fails.
Not sure if brand is just unreliable or i
I'm just unlucky with my 2 units one dead within 4 years and the other works but it's really noisy note.
Maybe I just expect too much longevity from them.
I used to have 2 tempstar units and they lasted 9 years each... The coldwaves barely making half that

ED would still go with a Panasonic over these other stuff.. Cost and performance vs the generic.. Mfd defect with my motor prob idk? ..but problem free since vs the other units in the home"coldwave, comfort star and Miller(14 years and only change a capacitor once but noisy and drainage design not 100% but works) all units service every 4-5 months and heavy usage.

Better stick with the r410a compatible units as r22 is being phased out ..hence the "sale"

Lil customization to match nature themed room as unit down

Impressed with my gree artful so far. Quiet and cools quickly

Anyone know what "health function" actually does?

And just like that fellas I fixed my AC myself. It is hard to explain however, what I did was get the hose, 100 PSI Pressure, flood out my entire house, and with that removed about 4 gallons of total black water and the alien parasite in it. Hosed out the coils and the fan then the outside coil and fan.

The evaporator fan no longer dies down, it suddenly works 100% perfect. No idea how I don't know but I did manage to get rid of the alien parasite for now I think I got 99% of it. Should take about 6 months for him to return. But yeah boy it cools real nice now. I think this will last a few more years, I will run it till the compressor gives out then throw away the whole unit and replace with a panasonic.

It approaching 5 years so anything after this that I get I am happy. If I get 8 years out of it I cool with that.

what about yours gastly? any progress on it so far?
