^Chelsea has more depth than any other club in the world...they just don't use it properly as has been the case repeatedly for the last 2 and a half seasons...Utd relies on youth which they develop properly to come in at times like today...Eckerlsey and Fabio are perfect examples...

Noone is touting it as a great competition, but it bears its title for a reason...the best team from each continent...do you whose league was ranked the 3rd best in the world, ahead of La Liga? The south american champs beat the winner of that league (Argentine) to earn their right to play there...it may not be the hardest but it takes alot more than showing up to play to win it...ask Barca and Liverpool, as well as ACM who rested players domestically to carry a full squad there and still scraped through in an exciting contest against Boca...and btw before those 4, the last two times it was played it was won by Brazilian teams....
Just because the only thing you and most people watch is European football means that there aren't quality sides and leagues out there, and when compeitions like this come around and the clubs finally get a chance to meet, more often than not it is the South American side winning...so in that vain maybe it shouldnt be more european teams but rather more south american ones
The point...the competition is not a rollover as people would like to believe, and there are quality sides who can easily go head to head with the best europe has to offer...its just unfortunate that they dont get the same media accreditation and exposure as Utd, Real, ACM etc...

the major benefit inter have going to united is that the away goals rule will be in their favour. so if they score and it ends up in a draw, they will go through.
