The health team's handling of COVID-19 is a cause for concern.
What exactly they getting paid for?
They aren't proactive in any of their decisions.

Jason,

“Cause for concern”??

By who?

The main concern is for the SOE to be lifted so the midnight braying can commence.

Delta seems to be just as deadly if not more so.

Also just saw on Facebook that an older gentleman needed a ICU care after some surgical complications but the hospital told them none were available...... This isn't good at all

With the daily deaths they need to state if persons vaxxed or unvaxxed.

BTW still alive on this end. Started to feel a little worse this morning but once you get up and take a walk in the hot sun for a 5 mins it makes a massive difference

so he didnt stay home when sick. also still didn't stay home when he took the test. unfortunately some ppl have to learn the hard way about their actions- the same thing he did could have been done by someone else and got him infected. but hope he pulls through.

Don’t you guys in private sector pay NIS . You can apply for payment though . Or has it been repeated exposures and COVID isolation ?

Unvaccinated people 20 times more likely to die from COVID-19, Texas data shows

... From Sept. 4 to Oct. 1 — which is when the delta variant became the dominant strain in Texas — unvaccinated people were 13 times more likely to become infected with COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people and 20 times more likely to die from COVID-19 complications than fully vaccinated people.

Dr. Jennifer Shuford, chief state epidemiologist for the Texas Department of State Health Services, said health outcome differences were staggering across all age groups.

“Any age group that you look at, being fully vaccinated truly protected people significantly from COVID-19 death,” she said.

This difference in health outcomes was most pronounced among younger people. For people in their 30s, the risk of dying from COVID-19 was 48 times higher in unvaccinated people than in vaccinated people. For people in their 40s, the risk was 63 times higher.

“Being fully vaccinated is really protective especially for those 30- to 39-year-olds and 40- to 49-year-olds,” Shuford said.

We always definitely going to have a problem.

Trinis need to stop exaggerating and making a scene.

We are still in a very manageable position.

but this is like April into May again. if we only consider the difference due to delta we are going into the log phase so whereas the average daily cases increased by about 100 over the past month, its not going to be another 100 the next month- its going to be hundreds!

Everything is OK, I stop worrying and allowing the government to do what they want, it is sad lives will undoubtedly be lost but who cares once bars ,cinemas , malls and elections could go on .....then so be it. Survival of the fittest right now is the government's approach and they couldn't be bothered

COVID-19 Misinformation is Ubiquitous: 78% of the Public Believes or is Unsure About At Least One False Statement, and Nearly a Third Believe At Least Four of Eight False Statements Tested

Most People Who Trust Network and Local Television, CNN, MSNBC and NPR on COVID-19 Believe Little or No Misinformation; Larger Shares Who Trust Newsmax, One American News, and Fox News Hold Many Misconceptions
More than three quarters (78%) of U.S. adults either believe or aren’t sure about at least one of eight false statements about the COVID-19 pandemic or COVID-19 vaccines, with unvaccinated adults and Republicans among those most likely to hold misconceptions, a new KFF COVID-19 Vaccine Monitor report shows.

Nearly two-thirds (64%) of unvaccinated adults believe or are unsure about at least half of the eight false statements – more than three times the share of vaccinated adults (19%). Nearly half (46%) of Republicans believe or are unsure about at least half the statements, three times the share of Democrats (14%).

The findings highlight a major challenge for efforts to accurately communicate the rapidly evolving science about the pandemic when false and ambiguous information can spread quickly, whether inadvertently or deliberately, through social media, polarized news sources and other outlets.

The new report assesses the public’s awareness of, and belief in, a range of “myths” about the disease and the vaccines to prevent it.
