Look at the deaths... there is generally a 17-21 day lag between infection and deaths.

we could be looking towards end of year for any change to better

only those with multiple or severe comorbidities and immunocompromised. also remember a few cases are incidental i.e. they were hospitalized for another reason and just happen to test positive. the father and son who died i think was one example.

Diwali is very much like Xmas for the hindus.
We are fully mobile and citizens are moving around almost normal, infection rate are certainly going to rise.
Our mortality rates are not going to be unique and until our vaccine uptake mirrors the experience of the countries that are gaining control more bad news is to follow.
Unfortunately we seem to have reached a place where financially we can no longer afford lock downs since individuals,businesses and the state can no longer survive without reasonable incomes.
The intensity of the game suggest that the pandemic is firmly in control and its score rate is likely to balloon.
