All my shipping was done through Caribbean Shipping Agencies.

Two weeks between delivery to Miami and collection in Trinidad.

Lifts, compressors etc. 5k lbs or so in total.

Makita XT250 LXT 18V Cordless Lithium-Ion 1/2 in. Hammer Driver-Drill and Circular Saw Kit with Two 3.0Ah Batteries -> 179US

I was going through this thread and saw that not all circular blades are easily obtainable in trinidad. On that note what are the popular circular saw blades size in trinidad?

Nice kit there

Popular blades are the regular 7.25 that come on the corded saws.
You can get almost any brand and tooth count locally.

The 6.5 blades are almost impossible to find locally.

Best bet....order some blades one time with the kit so u always have on hand for the job.

Guys, I'm looking for a Dewalt DWE7480 to buy. Any leads?
I'll also consider a Skil 3410 table saw (not the 3310 in Pricesmart)

I own the predecessor dw745, it is a bess saw, have the dewalt rolling stand too which
is ultra convenient.
Ripped lots of purple heart on it last year.
Unless you need a full sized table saw like a delta this is quite capable.

I would buy the 745 instead of the 748 and use the money to buy the rolling and blades.
The supplied blade might only be good for plywood.

When you use a quality purpose made crosscut or ripping blade from Freud
you will see the difference.

Waxing the sliding surfaces makes a huge difference too as well as learning how to
align the blade with the fence. A misaligned fence will cause binding and burning on the tough hardwoods.

The reason I like the 7480 vs the 745 is because it has a slightly larger rip capacity....same reason for the skil 3410 vs 3310....except the skil has a huge improvement in rip capacity.

Btw nobody has any dewalt table saws...and I made a lot of calls today. Jet, Makita, Bosch, (around $6k locally) Skil, Stanley, Black and Decker ($1.5 - 2k) are locally available.

Jack plane ? I hate those with a passion, because of doors self. Like using a cutlass for an overgrown field.

Greg Smith, cheap, they stock all parts and their compressors are made by some big manufacturer though i cant remember which.

Bought one of mine locally though, Khanico. Puma 60 Gal single stage under $6.5k. Puma 80 Gal 2 stage was around $7.5k which was comparable to anything i could find online.
Installed 2 years ago and haven't touched it since except to drain the tank.

LoL yeah boy. Especially if the blade ain't set right or the footprint too short. The longer ones will work better for like doors etc.

according to amazon specs, 745 and 748 are both 20" width rip

but if you ripping stuff that wide you better have somebody to help you as these are compact saws

The 7480 has 24-24.5" right of blade capacity, while the 745 has 20".
The Skil 3410 has 24" right of blade capacity, while the 3310 is 10".
