I'm not saying he didn't deserve it but moment before when he was slapped where was the ref?

Or once again the pulling of cristianos arm?

Good job refs!

Iker Casillas faces a month on the sidelines with a fractured bone in his hand. After completing the first X-Ray tests at the Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja it has been confirmed that Casillas suffered a fracture at the base of his first metacarpal of his left hand.

Back-up keeper Antonio Adan is now certain to play in next week's semi-final first leg - against either Barcelona or Malaga at the Estadio Bernabeu - and likely to also feature at home to Manchester United in the Champions League round of 16 on February 13. Casillas now faces a race against time to return for the Copa semi-final second leg in late February and the second leg against United at Old Trafford and La Liga clasico against Barcelona at the Bernabeu in early March.

That's a huge blow to the team.

Why Dan?

I hoping Ramos and Marcelo back out to strengthen our back line yes, we could still take on Manu and win it on the first leg.

In this situation it works in our favour yes.

There is a chance cassi can return for the away game with the likes of Marcelo and Ramos, that way we have the prospect of aggregate to pull back any slip ups from Adan at home.

Having gone the knife during an hour-long operation in Madrid on Friday, doctor Miguel del Cerro, who performed the operation, told AS: "The operation has gone very well. He will be out for between eight to 12 weeks.

Madrid medical chief Carlos Diez said in a statement on his club's website: "Everything has been phenomenal. Two screws were put in and the hand has been perfect. It has been a complete success from a surgical point of view.''

Casillas will now miss the Copa del Rey semi-final double-header against Barcelona, the Champions League last-16 tie with Manchester United and a host of Primera Division matches - the next league meeting against Barcelona at the Bernabeu is in early March.

Successful surgery!! Speedy recovery brother

Well we really didnt have a choice beacuse Lopez has more CL experience than Adan and Jesus together lol.

Adan IMO should at least get a clasico to prove himself

Xavi: Casillas is the soul of Madrid

Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez believes Real Madrid will be badly affected by the loss of goalkeeper Iker Casillas to injury.

Casillas has not enjoyed his best season at the Bernabeu, with coach Jose Mourinho dropping him in favour of Antonio Adan amid reports of tension behind the scenes, but Xavi feels Madrid will suffer in his absence.

"His injury is a problem," Xavi told reporters. "He is the soul of Madrid and their captain. It is a significant injury for Real Madrid and the national team."

Xavi has a well-publicised friendship with his fellow Spain star - the midfielder's father claimed in the summer that their relationship had caused problems with Mourinho - and he said he continues to speak to him on a regular basis.

"I talk to him a lot," he said. "We message each other, send encouragement. I have given him encouragement at moments, like when his coach saw fit not to start him in the team.

"That took me by surprise. It is amazing that suddenly a goalkeeper who has played for many years then does not play. That surprised me, but it is a topic for them. These are complicated issues, it is not for me to comment. They will be two months without Iker, who is a cornerstone at Madrid and for the national team. Aside from that I cannot comment."

Casillas will miss the Copa del Rey semi-final meeting with Barcelona, and Madrid are also contending with off-field issues, but Xavi feels they still represent a notable threat.

"They look to not be having a good time with the press or institutionally, but now we will face them in the semi-final and they are a complicated opponent who could eliminate us," he said.

Ramos back in the squad and Adan in goal >>>
Alonso & Khedira on the bench
