Hurricane Irma hits TCI

Turks and Caicos, September 7th, 2017 – Providenciales – The Turks and Caicos islands are officially under a national shut down as Hurricane Irma hits.

At 3pm today, there have been reports of no electricity in Grand Turk and South Caicos. Parts of Provo have also reported power outage.

During an interview earlier with Magnetic Media, Director of the Bahamas department of Meteorology, Trevor Basden explained, “based on the current path and projection of Hurricane Irma, the eye, the maximum winds will be either passing very close to or over Grand Turk, South Caicos and then Provo and West Caicos on this present track.”

TCI will be experiencing 165mph to 180mph winds during the evening into night. Putting this perspective with other islands already affected by Hurricane Irma this week, Basden said, “based on what has happened to Barbuda and some of the other territories, you’re looking at the potential of catastrophic devastation.”

The met office also said that based on the current tracking, they expect Hurricane Irma to have “a direct hit on the Turks and Caicos Islands” which means massive damages to its infrastructure. Flooding is expected to reach a total of 30 inches high. As for persons in areas nearest to the shoreline, they are likely to experience surges of 15 to 25 feet.

TCI will experience roughly 26 hours of the effects of Hurricane Irma. All residents and tourists are instructed to stay indoors. All responders are expected to shelter-in-place. Responders will not be able to provide relief services during this time, until further notice.

Jose has been upgraded to a Category 3..it's officially attained major hurricane status..with its sights apparently set on..you guessed it..Antigua and Barbuda..the season isn't as active as 2005 but wow..a Category 3 hurricane not even a week after being decimated by a Category 5 hurricane..I thought this one would have curved out to sea earlier but..

Wasn't it category 1 this morning?

And NHC's latest advisory for Katia says "Some strengthening is forecast during the next 36 hours and
Katia could be near major hurricane strength at landfall."

Wow!

Its because of the warm waters of the Atlantic its getting hotter, this is how it gets all this power through warm seas people had better recognize how serious climate change actually is. The big polluters are China, Russia, India and USA. And nobody seems to care to do anything about it. We have to end fossil fuel

Lol. Since when is an eclipse "strange"?
When has the Earth not been "in turmoil"? Ent miss world contestants wishing for world peace since Jesus days? What exactly is meant by "roaring seas and strange tides"? I'm sure there are roaring seas and strange tides in at least one place on earth every day.

Why can't prophecies be specific? Why can't prophecies be... prophetic? You can't tell me you using a prophecy to predict the past. b*tch if you find that amazing you should read a history book. Those a packed with amazingly accurate prophecies that specifically predict past events.

Steups.

Not sure why people on social media and youtube comments continue to deny climate change and blame Obama though, or the fact that for hundreds of years there was no rise in temperature and it wasn't until the industrial revolution recently and burning of fossil fuel that the planet started to warm up this should be apparent to anyone with half a brain that man is causing climate change. It is here that the liberals get it right and where conservatives get it completely wrong by continuing to deny climate change and it is because of their blind following of religion and superstition is why they are in denial. I think it is sad but it is what it is. People are going to find out the hard way just how serious and real climate change is, these Hurricanes are just the beginning. All evidence points to climate change as the explanation for these deadly hurricanes, it feeds off the heat this is how Hurricanes work.

The main culprits of climate change are India, China, Russia and USA and their blatant disregard for the environment.

Unfortunately the left is cheering on these Hurricanes in the hope that it destroys Trump's property in the Caribbean and Florida but what they do not realize is that Trump has insurance and he will stick them with that bill and possibly make a profit.

It is just sad to see where liberals have reached, cheering on Irma and clapping for her destruction praying for her to land in Florida to teach those people a lesson for voting Trump, how do people become this bitter and nasty?

Paul Joseph Watson did a great video on it.

^ yes I mentioned in the previous post just how retarded conservatives are when it comes to science, can't believe people like him even exist. All he is doing is keeping conservatives ever more in denial of science. I guess that is how you secure votes well one of the ways to do it anyways

Even right here on tuner I see fellas like Mitkay denying that man has anything to do with climate change. Unbelievable if you ask me given the knowledge we have today.

No pictures, as yet, from last night in the Turks and Caicos.

Hurricane Irma: Turks and Caicos islands devastated as deadly storm hurtles towards US

Hurricane Irma has devastated the islands of Turks and Caicos as it continued its destructive journey across the Caribbean towards Florida, flattening buildings and killing at least 14 people.

The category 5 storm, the largest ever to form in the Atlantic Ocean, made landfall on the British overseas territory, as well as Haiti, overnight on Thursday, with catastrophic damage reported.
