I watching a set of wood rasps for the Dremel and thinking of things that I can do with them without actually needing them to do anything.

oh gosh, Harbor Freight worse than home depot from what i've heard

In terms of cheap ting

But yeah, Money spent on tools is never wasted for me, I use everything I own eventually. Even if it's not for the intended purpose

depends on what you're buying
As one buddy put it, HF is the Rattans of tool stores
But yeah, I don't shop there for power tools etc, but cheap stuff like speed squares, clamps, abrasive flap wheels, random gadgets like big wire clips to organize ring spanners, vacuum pump peni...er....brake bleeder kit...can't go wrong...heck a push-stick for two bucks...who can say no???
I bought a cheap Viking brand trickle charger there in 2018 and it still performs perfectly

Project Farm on youtube does awesome tool reviews / comparisons including HF tools, so def worth a watch

^^^ i agree with u & i was now gonna say Project Farm & a few other popular youtubers have started reviewing HF tools , they say HF started to make their tools of a better quality to at least give a decent budget friendly run against d popular brands names cause tools is a billion $ industry & they want a bigger chunk from it , i hear d kobalt line from Lowe's is pretty decent too

i have relatives living near Lowes & HF so i can always ask them to check it for me but yea like MGman said gotta be real selective , small misc stuff is decent but i will stick to my well known brands for power tools ...

Hey guys. Looking for someone who can do some minor repairs and refurbishing of some cupboards from central. Someone who is experienced and good at finishing and willing to take on some smaller refurbishment jobs. The last guy i hired to tackle those repairs and build some new cupboards actually left me with more items to finish. Let me know if there is anyone you all can recommend.

Definitely worth it for anyone who does that work. Expensive system but it'll always be better than the surgery bills. The replacement stop cartridges that are destroyed by design when an accident occurs cost about $100 USD, again much better than the doctor bills and a lost appendage and trauma.

that company tried some scampish moves though
they tried to make it illegal for table saw mfgs to not have their patented safety system installed in it

not tried , they stopped bosch & probably others who even tried to sell anything similar to thiers

imo that is not scampish but a smart business move

if u took d time & resources to invent something nobody else has u have to protect ur creation so somebody wont simply copy all ur hard work thus USA patents

all d details here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SawStop

New ownership by TTS Holding (2017)

Since July 2017, SawStop has been owned by TTS Tooltechnic Systems Holding AG (Germany), which also owns Festool. Consequently, Festool offers saws with SawStop technology.[26]
Patent expiration (2021)

The SawStop patents began to expire in September 2021.[27] Sawstop holds around 100 patents, though many of them are continuations of the early Sawstop patents. The continuation patents may expire later than the "parent" patent due to patent office delays. Some Sawstop continuation patents expire as late as May 2026.[28]

all d other tool companies waiting like cobo for when d patents expiring ... just like some waiting for d festool domino patent to expire too

i'm not talking about the copying part, I am talking about them saying ALL tablesaws should have their tech installed in it.
like the world having a single airbag company and that company saying all cars must have their airbag in it.

saw a clip on the socials with some dunce youtuber making a round tabletop thing on a table saw and it kicked back violently enough to drag her hand into the blade in a split second. That gizmo saved her shredding a few fingers. She just got a little nick on her knuckle. Granted she brought that on herself but still....that's a great thing to have on a saw

My 8yr old son wanted a table to do schoolwork etc
So we decided to build one
Full teak
Didnt want too many screws so we tried some simple lap joints using a hammer and chisel
He did most of the work using a manual saw
I did the major cuts with the power saw

One major flaw i noticed after is the legs were supposed to be the other way so u will not see where it joined the cross brace

I never see minwax selling down here. Dai murican ting

Personally I does soaaaaaaak d wood in linseed oil and let that settle in.
Then to finish, I use a beeswax/linseed oil paste that I mix.
