Our eyeball probably not the best judge of small differences in height because of perspective etc.
Maximum vehicle height is fairly standard internationally at ~4.1 m but minimum clearance changes by virtue of what city you are traveling in and not just what country. I have seen 3.5 m minimum clearance fairly often -- and the trucks that didn't see the warning signs until it was too late.maj. tom wrote:USA Interstate standard for all of USA codes for 4.9 meters vertical clearance. UK is 5.03 meters vertical clearance.
BC Canada has 5.0 meters. Alberta is 5.5 vertical clearance.
The maximum height for a vehicle in Ontario is 4.15 meters. Road vehicles in the UK are usually less than 4.5 m tall.
Apparently no set international exact standard. But it should be 5.0 meters for good measure.

eliteauto wrote:Height barriers are at 4.5M noticed some bracing under the actual steel arch, dunno if the bracing makes the clearance 4.5 during construction and 5m after their removal. The height barriers east and west bound make a lot of sense during construction, better to hit than than the overpass
