Earlier this year they closed off firearms division in order to clear the backlogs so no new applications are being facilitated until they finish this task. You can't even get info as to the status of your application as the division is totally closed off. One can hope that all they are doing everyday is clear backlogs and that they may finish all soon

Practise throwing water on something and ducking out of the way so you don't get splash.
It would come in handy when you have to use the real thing (acid)

Put in a normal plastic bottle and make a big hole in the cover or just remove the cover.

Also: don't only study bout what you will do when bandit come, have a backup plan/equipment for after, if you manage to catch them alive and don't want them go through the normal court/jail/bail procedure

what makes you think that you are actually deserving of being allowed to keep a firearm, or that having firearm will help keep you safe?
A firearm is simply a tool to be used for defense or attack. If you feel you need a weapon to defend yourself, even against an armed assailant, then you don't need and shouldn't have a firearm.

iirc they said they not processing any application that was submitted more than 10 years ago. that means that they have 10 years worth of applications to see about still that there before yours.
so if they going in chronological order, you still have a hell of a long wait to go before GG gets to your application, because after you submit your documents, get interviewed, site visited, approval from others in the house, etc, in the end it all boils down to IF GG deems you being allowed to have a weapon as necessary or not.

so cool yuh jets and sip some coffee and wait patiently like everybody else. Cuz being in a hurry ain't gonna get you nothing more than really frustrated for a long time till your application gets approved, or very disappointed if it doesn't.

Im sorry OP but you will not get a FUL.

Hit the gym and man up for your wife and soon baby. Put proper safety measures in place and you can have other self defense options e.g- cutlass, pellet gun, fish gun etc.

If you are unable to have a safe home and depending on this FUL as the sole means of protection.....then you should have used protection in the first place #lifestyles

Over a year I waiting for a change of address acknowledgement..went to pay earlier this year and told them and they say everybody telling dem dat doh worry jes keep yuh reciept..

Op if you at risk of falling out with people who will kill you for small money or anything for that matter you in the wrong category for an FUl..and we ain't talking just money here because there are many decent normal simple people with FUls even travelling public transport everyday..plenty simple older georgie porgie won't mash ants instructors gunsmiths ex servicemen govt employees etc..plenty old easy carry small spin-barrells and Walther PPKs and other .380s and .32s in the mix out there everyday...

Namely if your property is fenced and where you will keep your gun safe/cabinet and if that is a secure part of the house, as well as how hard in general is it for someone to break in and steal it

But I am sure they took a few years to do this, and from what I read, is only if you bringing in a whole DVR system? Me eh know.

And also look how long they take to pass the 'no bail for 120 days' and yet everyday goons getting caught with gun, or even a whole bunch of gun in 'speaker boxes' and getting bail in less than 24 hours.
