True. Was just trying to distinguish between the issues being on the multitronic tranny vs the slushboxes or s-tronic boxes.

Not all the TCM's actually went bad. But many did. Quite a common problem. If it hasn't done so yet, I'd be worried.

yeah not all... there are the lucky ones who still haven't changed them up to this day.

How did the local dealer treat with this? Acknowledged the issue or did they force owners to pay out of pocket?

those that were under warranty got it changed for free. if not, you had to buy it yourself for $21,000 before discount.
