Never used one personally but from watching many reviews it looks like a great piece of hardware. Its like the N8 but with a 8MP camera with fixed focus, physical keyboard and no card slot. Otherwise everything else is the same but it has 1GB of ROM where as the N8 only has 512MB

ROM size doesn't make any difference to the consumer whether it has 512MB or 1GB, that's just the size of memory that the firmware is stored on.
User accessible Phone Memory on the E7 is about 350MB.
I have the C7, which is basically the same phone except for the slightly smaller screen and no QWERTY keyboard.
The hardware is top notch. Symbian OS leaves alot to be desired. Email is a mess, push mail does not work instantly, if at all. I'm patiently waiting on Symbian Anna update to be released, but that will be out in August, even though it was promised first at the end of 2010, then early 2011, and now it's been pushed to Q3 2011.
Nokia is certainly a mess right now...

Nokia N9 prices 660/749 USD for 16/64GB
According to Colin Giles, Nokia’s Executive VP of Sales, the Nokia N9 16GB will retail for 660USD whilst the 64GB will go for 749USD. The price jump from 16 to 64GB is actually not that remarkable, not even 100USD difference (which would be 200USD if it was a green fruit product). Note that these prices are Nokia’s unlocked price (most likely minus taxes too so factor that in). Expect subsidized prices of course to be much cheaper when purchased with a contract. I’d say they’d be cheaper than Nokia’s own stores of course (but well, many are closing down in favour of selling to other larger, more traditional retailers).
For UK readers, this of course does not translate directly to converted GBP. Indications from superEtrader puts the N9 16GB at £599, unlocked. Doing a bit of searching, Expansys hasn’t got a listed price (though they do have a page for the N9). Amazon do not.
Note that these price tags are often at least 10-20% more than actual retail price (if following all previous price listings)
You can check the availability of the N9 at
http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/d ... ailability
I don’t know if more countries will be added to this – the N9 has only just launched (remember availability pages for N8 took forever)

@Harkison tweeted that we should check out an app called GoToMenu on Ovi Store and we did. For those that cannot wait to do some swiping, this app lets you swipe between your menu and homescreen (isntead of using the menu button.
Down gesture to go to menu view and left swipe to go back to homescreen. You can have the app autostart and leave it running in the background. I have no idea what battery impact this will have as I’ve just installed it.
Here’s a video demo of it (darn camera has no continuous AF :s)
As you’ll see, there’s no animation to show you the swiping (which is just as important as the animation directs the user as to where and what action is going).
