Yup I initially thought about buying this one for US$60 less, but I decided to try the Dremel.

I have a variable speed dremel, makes a lot of noise, opened it up and it has a crappy bearing setup. They are not really made well imho
good for short term running.

Are the table saws in Pricesmart any good?
Just for home projects, building some sub enclosures and bookshelves.

Negative.. it takes quite some time to align the rip fence square to the blade and this needs to be done after every adjustment. Small table saws can't hold large panels also. A proper work table, a 4' straight edge (long level) and some clamps will make for faster and just as accurate cutting.

I had used a large table saw once and only those are really worth buying, but for small home projects, I can't recommend.

I found the attachments that come with the dremel are pretty weak. Bought some diamond coated blades and they never let me down. Best set is a set I got on amazon for just over usd$5.00. They very thin and cut clean, minimal dust.

I have the small Dewalt dw745,
it is pretty good, probably one of the better small saws.
Fence is full rack and pinion, moves straight.

Have a large Black and Decker but the motor overheated and burnt, would look at getting that repaired if it could first instead.

Just added some Bosch cobalt drill bits to the collection yesterday, badasses of the bit world lol. Sliced through some stainless steel like butter, definitely recommend them.

^^^ last yr i bought a set of those too

pugboy wrote:new yellow to add to collection

now mankind cud break in ppl property with ease ......... j\k

bought this 1 with d stand about 2mths ago http://www.dewalt.com/tools/machinery-p ... e7480.aspx

pricey , cud have bought 2 or 3 of d cheaper table saws but this 1 has power like DAT & cuts fast & smooth like butter

24" rip fence is mainly what made me choose it , very easy to dial in d measurements fairly accurately too , saves me a ton of time\energy when doing multiple pieces of same dimension & all coming out dead exact ... rel best , no regrets
