The study you posted above says a well fitted cloth mask works as well as a surgical masks. Surgical masks don’t work either.
It’s like saying humans can fly really well, in fact a study found they can fly as well as elephants

And masks. If you all believe in masks so much, then go to a hospital with covid patients wearing a cloth mask.

The spike proteins of the virus attaches itself to mucous membranes in your nasal passage, throat or esophagus. From there it will replicate and cause havoc on your body.
You don't have to breathe in the virus to get it.
If someone with Covid coughs into his hand, then you shake his hand, then you bite your nails

Testing what exactly? Safety? Efficacy?

Testing what exactly? Safety? Efficacy?
Efficacy and short term safety can be decided very quickly and so most of these vaccines have proven this.

what about reaction to the body overtime(long term)?

We really just do not know.
There is a good chance they may have long term safety since the short term safety was relatively ok.
But we will get that data later on.
Why is washing your hands still important?drchaos wrote:teems1 wrote:Mmoney607 wrote:Covid 19 is a respiratory virus. They made up all that handwashing bs at the start and obviously they don't want to remove it because it would look like yet another flip flop.

This is extremely unlikely to the point we don't need to worry about this.
The amount of virus your will get from biting your nail is extremely insignificant. Those said viral particles need to not be exposed to light as they get inactivated. They also need to survive your saliva which is antiviral, then your innate immune defenses need to be evaded.
Its possible for you to be struck by lightning today but highly improbable.
Studies follow participants two months for an EUA and six months for full approval. More time is spent enrolling participants, summarizing data for review, and responding to the review board questions than the actual clinical study.drchaos wrote:Dohplaydat wrote:aaron17 wrote:Can someone tell me why is 'Time' not a factor of testing vaccines? The CDC still stresses the importance of hand hygiene, and doctors agree that regularly washing your hands (or using hand sanitizer in a pinch) is still a crucial step in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
“People invariably touch their face,” says Richard Watkins, M.D., infectious disease physician and professor of internal medicine at the Northeast Ohio Medical University. If there happens to be enough coronavirus particles surviving on a surface you just touched, you still have a slim chance of getting sick, especially if you are not yet fully vaccinated.

cloth masks are to prevent the wearer from spreading the virus to others, not necessarily to protect himself- for that you need the N95 or KN95.

When they give out 20 j&j? And no children get Pfizer today?
Also the grim milestone of 1200 deaths.
