Only if your TV won some awards can it be deemed as "good".

What you guys need is an On-line ups, this gives you a solid 120v with any input voltage, I invested in one of these a while now. The normal ups are line interruptible, pretty much just power ur components in case of a power failure.
For the real OCD guys when it comes to their equipment check out the pure sine wave on-line ups.

unless your voltage at home goes higher than 120v and lower than 105v often you really wont need a voltage stabilizer or regulator according to alot of A/V and HT forums

I think the added price is for the capacitors that store extra power to ensure the voltage stays the same - however the power from stabilizers can be slightly lower due to resistance, unless amplified.

a UPS may not work in place of this since a UPS only goes to battery power in the event of a power loss - it does not feed off the battery otherwise.

The two more important features I think then are surge suppression and line filters to clean a clean and noise free power supply.
Well Duane, I've checked with a multimeter, and my triplite voltage regulator has a display. Typically with low loads in the morning Voltage is 120-127v

Around 5-6PM when everybody and they aunty, pappy and grandpa reach home and put on their dryers, AC's etc, voltage can sag as low as 104v.

i went this week to look at tv stands - around 5ft width - cost runs you about 5500tt for wooden ones ....

courts
standards

the home store had the modern glass and metal ones but did not price them....

i walked out the stores when i saw the prices at courts and standards...

There's someone selling cabinets like those for $1500 in the Misc Sales section. Can't remember his name, but he was selling it on FB Marketplace and there was a link to the thread there.

Hey tuners, need some help on what to do/buy. I have a logitech z5300e 5.1 set up, and as you all know the satellites suspension wear out after a while, i thinking about having it repaired but i'm also considering buying a reasonable priced 5.1 satellite set up for it, any recommendations? Thanks in advance

^ check the Dayton's posted a few pages back - they sound great for the price and the online reviews are good too

Not sure how they'd work with the Logitech amp though.

Anything radioshack has Raptor will bring it in for a fraction of the cost, give a better warranty and get you a more modern unit.

The Dayton speakers will match the Logitech amp pretty well but they may most likely overpower the bass of the sub.

I have a z-5300e and all the surrounds dry rot as well but i'll fix them later on hopefully for cheap.

Would agree with the others and suggest you invest in a nice 5.1 receiver and either a full matched 5.1 speaker set or separate speakers and powered sub.

my satellites are normal but then again i hardly use them.
they set up in my room and only used for music.
you could purchase new satellites off ebay.
Lucian had the same problem a while back with his z-2300, u could ask him for advice.

Anybody here experienced panel lottery when buying their hdtv?
Alot of reviews online saying its prevalent in Samsung and LG TV's whereby u get a lesser quality panel in some models.
VA/TN panels as opposed to the better IPS panels.

Thanks for the input guys :D. The thing is, i will only be using this to play music from my computer and run a few games, not really for home theatre purposes which is why i don't really wanna spend to much cash on it, the daytons look pretty good, and they are reasonably affordable, i think i will try them :D
