^ Remember CSME and how the smart ones like Bahamas told manning to piss off?

Yeah we have little to no reason to go work in anyother Caribbean country. Yet they are all landing up here because quite simply here is where the Jobs are. Today we have outsiders stealing Jobs that was supposed to go to Trinis hence the big issue now with unemployment and underemployment. PNM encouraged this dotishness.

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO WOMEN SENT TO WORLD CUP QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT WITH $500
OCTOBER 8TH, 2014 BY THOMAS HAUTMANN

For a small country like Trinidad & Tobago, the odds of making their first-ever Women’s World Cup are long enough. But not even their unpaid coach Randy Waldrum could have expected how little financial help he would receive from his own Football Association to achieve that goal.

Five hundred dollars.

That is all the “Soca Princesses” received, along with the kits on their backs, for next week’s qualification tournament in the United States. Five hundred dollars to last them for food, transportation and equipment for at least two weeks, for the whole team.

Faced with this impossible shortage of funds, Waldrum, who also coaches the NWSL’s expansion team Houston Dash and previously led Notre Dame to two NCAA championships, has taken to social media to ask for help.

This might sound weird but shouldn't a national team receive equipment and funding from their nation?

You guys are despicable and should be ashamed, what was good to chastize the PNM for is fair game now :|

They wanted the job to prove that they were better not to say " oh goar giwwe ah chance nah, we need more time" :?

This is why Trinidad will always be a messed up place because ppl are willing to look past the ills of those who look like them and concoct ridiculous excuses in their lame-brains for plain old failure

Can't pinpoint the exact article, but this is not the first time this happened. So people need to stop throwing a hissyfit over it.

Hoss I been involved in sporting administration for quite some time now.
Some of these sporting bodies are badly managed by the administrators in charge who are mostly old farts left over from the PNM era and can not manage a tea party. The sport company has to approve the budget and dish out the funds.
The problem happens as soon as the sporting body receives the money. When you ask for 1 million the sport company will cut it down to half that. The funds go haywire and very little is spent on the sportsmen , most of the funds is spent on the administrators fancy. Deals are cut with administrators friends and family for equipment ect which are overpriced.
The administrators will go begging cap in hand to source new funds via sponsorship when the sports company funds are expelled . When things don't go as planned they revert to the media looking for points that the government ant give them no money. The gullible will quickly believe that the government is to blame for all this.

Back to elections have a thread for dem football ting

http://www.trinidadexpress.com/news/PNM ... 10991.html

Columnist and former editor Maxie Cuffie last night got the green light from the Screening Committee to represent the PNM in the constituency of La Horquetta/Talparo, a constituency currently held by the UNC.
Cuffie said he had no fear of what the People’s Partnership might do since a PNM victory in the constituency was “achievable” and “fairly easy to do”.
“The constituency is very energised, it is extremely well organised, “ he said. “What we have been waiting for is a candidate so that we can go out and do what we have to do.”
“There is the potential to make this constituency a safe PNM seat,” he stated.
He noted that one of the challenges was that half of the constituency fell under the Tunapuna Plarco Regional Corporation, which is held by the PNM, while the other half fell under the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Talparo Regional Corporation which is held by the UNC.

I wish her all the best, Indepedents don't make in our politics. But if you put aside the obvious issue the public will have with her, she was always vocal on issues and is very well known in Sando West especially among the sawatees. It's just that one hurdle she has...if it wasn't for that a party might have scooped her up.

I eh moved by Maxie Cuffie, he doesn't seem dynamic and has an "old PNM" feel to him, cyah see him exciting the electorate the way PP's candidates did in 2010 ( not that that turned out so great)

Fari who you feel should go up for Arima?
