Worst thing to do is stop training. Stopped a while and since I'm still with the flu and otherwise occupied it's hard to start back.

depends on which theory you subscribe to.

Allegedly it should be 275gm per day, and even with sometimes 2 shakes per day I get nowhere near that, maybe 200-220 gms on average

These days my diet and workout routine got a serious shock with a newborn baby in my life.
Even though Im seriously strapped for time, I'm alternating weight training days with cardio at home. It's a new routine and I'm giving myself 4-6 months to observe how effective it is.

I've gone to 4 smaller meals every 5-6 hours instead of two largish ones. Distributing the macros instead, averaging the same caloric intake. ~2000 cals/day
Meal 1 - protein shake w skim milk (and 1/3 cup of raw oats on days that I train)
Meal 2 - Low simple carb, high fiber/protein, low fat lunch
Meal 3 - low simple carb, high fiber and protein, med fat or a salad(alternate 2/3)
Meal 4 - protein shake w skim milk

Rough average, google nutrition data for raw ingredients that I use, either by weight or measure and factor in cooking ingredients. It may not be 100% on point, but I could live with a 5-10% margin of error.

~2000 seems a bit low for what you described, but i guess it depends on what the meals comprise of. Reason i asked is that i prefer to get as much nutrients from food as possible *flamesuit* I don't like to put a lot of faith in supps. especially since they're not fda regulated.

Ever thought about upping your lean protein? turkey/chicken breast, lean beef, salmon or tuna.
