Tenants: The LAW is on your side .
Forget the BIG BAD talk from these Landlords
SAVE YOUR MONEY for FOOD and MEDICINE.
You are incorrect .. again
The Law ( or Judge ) will know that these are not normal circumstances .
In practice, the Judge will side with the Tenant .
Yes RedVEVO, I take videos of my appartments with the tenant before I give them the keys. So they can't say the appartment was at fault after they rented it. Just how they meet it they have to leave it as when they first saw it.RedVEVO wrote:^^

If you have assets ( things you own ) that is over $15,000 then it will become a High Court Matter .
If the Landlord levies ( confiscates your belonging to sell ) on your assets you will have proof .
3. Lawyers' advice is FREE at the Legal Aid Office in Barataria . It is opposite the Barataria Gas Station

Even if the judge want to, the judge can't. It's not about feelings, it's about the law.
1. There is no legal notice by the government stating that landlords must give a bligh to tenants. Only tenants of the HDC (state run) got that benefit, not private individuals. All the PM ask the landlords from the private sector to do is a deferral which is not mandatory. If that legal notice was in place, THEN the law will be on the tenants side during this time.
2. Since a legal notice is absent, the Judge will then investigate if the landlord followed the process to kick out the tenant i.e Notice to Quit.
3. If the landlord did their part, judge rules in the landlords favor and UDFR with you.

1. If Landlord is threating you . Go to the Police Station and make a report. It is important evidence that YOU the tenant is following the Law . Make sure you get the receipt with the Landlord name on the receipt . Identify the Landlord .
2. If you want go to the FREE Legal Aid in Barartaria and file AN INJUNCTION . This will prevent the Landlord from trying to break your door down and physically hurting you and your family.
These are NOT normal circumstances .
The LAW will protect YOU the Tenant .
