Comprehension much?

I am passing judgement on an entire constituency base on their support and defence of an accuse criminal, much like those of Tivoli Gardens, Kingston, Jamaica and their support and defence of Dudus Coke, as captured in the photo.

No one is accusing Hart of stealing state funds, he lied under oath, nothing else. http://www.trinidadexpress.com/news/Eno ... 77694.html
Manning/Pena I agreed were state funds, but Panday was not.
Warner is alleged to receive state funds through TTFF which he commingled with his own funds.

What I have done is irrelevant because I am not in public life. You are showing your immaturity and inability to discuss facts rationally without appealing to factors outside the discussion. If you dont want your views to be challenged, don't post them.

Panday was voted out.
Jack wasnt, he resigned. All we can do is speculate if he would of been fired by kpb or not and still be no where near the truth, but in the fact book, it will be stated that he resigned, slice it whichever way you want, thats a fact.

yes they all thief, some more than others, but in politics both local and abroad you need to choose the lesser of two evils, once power and money is involved, everyone is corruptible. for this reason i will not be voting again because i refuse to choose. I see lots here that played nicely into the hands of the media.

Some failing to understand the link between corruption, private and public funds. Not because its private funds means that it has no effect on public funds.

At the end of it all, he has not been charged and is innocent in the eyes of the law. But what about public opinion? Kpb seems to understand his liability to the party and the government. Was she wrong to take this stand?

Private monies (fifa) intended for public use (payment to aid national team at world cup, refurbishment of football stadias, setting up of training camps, paying for foreign tours for the national team) that is used for private enrichment. When this occurs, as it has, state funds are used to make up for the shortfall of funding. Had the fund not been diverted, less state funds would have been allocated for such activities

Śo then it would have less state funds for others to pillage?

Yeah yeah kurpal correct. :|

In any case there are two arguments here; innocent in the eyes of the law or guilty in the public eye and does corruption (or allegations of corruption) have less weight than the positive deeds of a person.

Ohh. So why u resign? He could have simply brought forward evidence to dispute the corruption claims and sue off all dem media houses for libel and eat a food from damages award. Ent dah make sense?

jack went on to say that when he read in the papers that kamla said she stunned, even without speaking to him, he realise it didnt make sense to continue

So it goes back to my original question in this quote which u initially misintepreted. Did kamla trigger his resignation?

Based on his explanation, most definitely...
He did also say, and i can fully understand his reasons for this, "the idea had been in mind for sometime now, but her being stunned, drove the nail in the coffin..."

Good good. So another safe assumption would be that kpb has lost confidence in him. No?
With that said, time will tell with the matter. Maybe he has taken leave in order to clear his name. Or if he follows the trend of his fifa resignation, he will turn his back on politics never to tell his side of the story. Why do that? Why take such a hard stance on holding the fifa and concacaf positions with in public office yet be able to simply walk away from football overnight when allegations are made?

What isnt said is more important than what is

Speculation... all of it, and from all angles.
Media bashing of JW from express and all media by extension, cannot be used in forming arguable opinions for obvious reasons.

Kamla, i strongly believe, like in previous cases, having been subjected to public expectancies based on her party's livelihood, also by trying to "comply" with the general concensus of the masses, and probably even on the advice from others, started showing JW her concerns.
We all can say that visibly, the man is about integrity and foward movement of the country. He therefore did the honourable thing and resigned.
Regardless of all the alledged claims.

The FIFA resignation was for completely different reasons IMO and had nothing to do with being afraid to face the music..I honestly think he knew that somehow he had more to gain by sticking to the country's "opportunities"..

We'll hear all abt it tomorrow he said..

Do we understand the difference between these two terms. Also, the accusations made against mr warner, which category does it fall? Speculation or allegation?

Why do public officials in developed countries resign after strong allegations of misbehaviour in public office? To either accept responsibility or to clear their good name right? Not so?
So as i said before, time will tell which way jw goes.

As briefly as I could, Warner lied to the nation when the PM exposed the SIA scandal and he commented after that he saw the logs that mention "who I kiss, and who I ain't kiss." Then as the sensitivity of the revelation and the PM was being accused of doing exactly what she was accusing the former PM, reading and disseminating spy logs, later that week Warner denied every seeing any logs from the SIA. Warner also told us that he informed the CoP to stop issuing crime statistics and then came under fire and international condemnation, he admitted he never gave that instruction. So much for integrity.

Warner plans such as legalisation of PH taxis, rejection of mass transit by rail (other ministers promise to embrace it www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQaENIITxu8) and returning the Flying Squad were all decisions that were not forward thinking and openly rejected by his Cabinet colleagues.

Sad to see Mr. Warner go, he was the one who transformed Spring Road, Five Rivers into an actual road, putting in place box drains and retaining wall, he did what no other dead beat representative from PNM and others had not done for over forty years. Another example is the By Pass Road in Piarco. And what about the numerous Police Stations now under construction and upgrade. He is truly a man of action and to all those enemies of progress let me see who you go after now.

Don't get me wrong, Jack Warner has many achievements under his belt privately and publicly. But he is being condemn for the unanswered allegations of white collar crime that hang over his head while he himself has to develop policies to combat white collar crime as MoNS. A conflict of interest.
