Olympian sent home because he saw his wife and kids
Kim Collins of St Kitts and Nevis was set to run in the 100m dash today, for the 5th straight Olympics. However, his home country told him that he would not be allowed to complete because of a rules violation. No, he didn’t get arrested, nor did he take performance-enhancing drugs. Heck, he didn’t even say something foolish on Twitter. He just went to visit his wife and kids.
Collins violation was against the rules. Athletes are not allowed to leave the Olympic Village without permission. But this seems rather harsh. Especially to the guy that carried the country’s flag during the opening ceremonies. Officials for St Kitt and Nevis claim that he was probably out of the Village for the last two days, staying with his wife at their hotel.
Collins did take to Twitter to express his frustrations with the ruling:
“My fans. I won’t lie. Won’t be running later tonight.” Another message read: “Even men in prison get to visit their wives.”
As Jason Lisk of The Big Lead points out that the Olympic environment almost encourages rampant sex among the athletes, but apparently only if it is within the confines of the Village walls. How dare an athlete go see his wife for some quality time.

Those two guys were banned for some years from competing because they tested positive for banned substances so they are quite elated to be back on the track.
